Lady Gaga Throws Shade at Madonna in New Interview

eh....Gaga clearly looked up to Madonna and Madonna's attitude and comments towards her have her feeling some type of way. Madonna isn't the first icon artist to publicly state not-so-great things about her....Bette Midler and Grace Jones don't really care for Gaga either.

That being said, I feel the name drop was actually warranted, since the question was asking her for her influences which Madonna clearly is or at least was at some point. Had she not mentioned Madonna's name, people would've read her for not giving Madonna her dues for inspiring Gaga.

I don't blame Gaga for what she said. If I were in her shoes (which I wouldn't be because I never looked up to Madonna...for me, personality matters just as much as the music), I probably would've said the same thing.

NEXT.

Wet Fire

No lies have been told by the honest Lady Gaga. Madonna appeared to be troubled and insecure after Gaga's rise and didn't lose the chance of embarressing her. Calling her "Reductive", on MDNA tour singing Express Yourself and Born This Way and then singing She's Not Me. Let's face it. Msdonna is more successful, but Gsgs is a better musician and vocalist.

She is right. Guys are you forgeting that she humiliated her in every MDNA show? Born this way and after that she's not me? I mean WTF?? She was pressed and i don't find this funny or smth.

Umm you said

And that video was BEFORE Katy perry got famous, she wasn't asked about her, so....

"goes out of her way"

That part gives a lot of meaning to the phrase.

Now I understand why Gagz work with unknown/ new artists (Too short/ Twista) ... she wants to help them so they can shine .... :) she is so nice

meanwhile Madonna :xtina:

THEY ARE NOT NEW. Plus they're not unknown. They're from the early 90s and early 2000s
Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko

This

and many other times when Madonna has had nothing but PRAISE WORDS for Gaga!!!

Dedicating her song 'Masterpiece' for Gaga...

VS

Reductive (which actually meant that the COMPARISONS are reductive, because they discredit the work of the 2 artists, NOT GAGA BEING REDUCTIVE)

Singing EY/BTW mashup then repeating She's Not Me (A statement for the people who compare them, to stop doing so! Gaga is Gaga, Madonna is Madonna. SIMPLE AS THAT)

Where's the evil, non-supportive b---h whom Gaga can't get over?  :ohwell:

I don't support Gaga's "shade" of Madonna: regardless of how much Madonna has thrown towards her. Taking the high road regarding this "battle" has always played Gaga's side to be the most attractive. By retaliation, even in its slightest measure, makes her seem un-credible to her previous statements. Gaga's image for this album is projected to be that of a "Lady", let's keep it classy.

That doesn't change anything at all. How much should she go out of her way to be considered supportive of new artists? like what buy their CDs in bulk? :giggle:

Also, she was supportive to gaga herself in the very beginning, when gaga used to sell only like 2000 tickets :usrs:

Lady Palutena

I really don't see many people "dragging" Gaga though :smh:

YOU don't see it, I'm sure others do.

Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

Yeah, that's totally what the intention was. I'm sure the "monsters" eating processed food in the backdrop were meant in the purest, most supportive way possible.  :usrs:

Not that I think Madonna is "soulless" like the interviewer implied, that went way too far... but she has done some nasty things regarding the whole BTW/EY situation, and whether or not she meant it that way, Gaga has a right to be hurt.

Seems odd to even bring it up but whatever

She was asked who her inspirations were. She was bound to say Madonna. Then she clarified that she struggles with it because of how she has treated her lately.

Everything else is the interviewer flame baiting the sh*t out of his interview for clicks.

Oh, I'm just visiting-

YAAAAAS pulverize ha, queen! :lmao::awkney:

Weird interview, she brings up a lot of tropes from previous eras ("I am not a piece of meat", "You and I is my favourite song" etc) which she usually doesn't do. Inb4 she starts talking about being "halfway between reality and fantasy" again.

Those are iconic. That "I've been singing Jazz since I'm 13" thing needs to go away
