TheOriginalOne 9,637 Posted December 18, 2014 Share Posted December 18, 2014 Okay so one thing I loved about Zuko and his Firebending was that, unlike every other child on the show, he wasn't a prodigy or a master. He actually went through struggle, and for that he's probably one of my favorite A:TLA characters. Now I do consider him a more skilled bender than Mako. So even though Mako can generate lightning and the battle between them would be close, Zuko might end up victorious in the end. Now Mai and Asami are a bit more interesting. Both no benders and have to rely purely on their fighting skill. Mai is great with knives and she always managed to trap people by sticking their clothes to the wall with the throwing knives, but somehow whenever she went in for the kill she always missed. Asami is skilled and beautiful and could do some damage with that glove. Of course, she needs to get close to the person in order to do damage. Zuko being damaged by Mako would have made him an easy target for Asami. And then Mai would have grown bored with the battle, claiming that it isn't that serious, and quit. Leaving Asami as the winner, and by default Mako too. Oh, and in my mind I saw this as simple entertaining battle, not a battle to the death. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I do see your point but Mai is pretty much a trained assasin and she can handle herself close combat and can fight benders with ease same goes for Asami but Asami hasn't shown her abilities in combat vs master benders such as the Gaang as Mai did and Mai can also fight pretty well melee combat. Mai seems to be the winning point for the emo couple imo but I really do see your point When did this happen??? I never saw this! Both benders were never that good, so I think the girls are the ones who decide the fight.
