  1. 1. Are you happy about the C2C era?

    • Yes. I'm happy because Gaga seems to be happy. Who cares if jazz isn't my thing?

    • No. Jazz isn't my thing and I'm not gonna pretend that I'm enjoying this era just because Gaga is enjoying it.

    • Indifferent. I'm just gonna wait for her next era.

Yes, but jazz is also my cup of tea, you should add this option to the poll.

Same.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I voted for yes but three of your options are all implying that we all do not enjoy jazz while in fact some of us actually do. I'm one of them.

People who don't like Cheek to Cheek are foolish. Gaga would never have finished a new pop album for Fall 2014. At best she could keep plugging away at ARTPOP with a likely lower selling second volume. The press would bury her for that.

They decided ARTPOP was a failure. Nothing can really be done. Instead of Gaga disappearing between pop albums and further solidifying rumors about her waning celebrity, she now has a solid selling, career cementing Jazz record with the legendary Tony Bennett to her name. It has earned her some new fans, some additional respect, and changed the tone of the press back in her favor (more or less).

It has healed the negativity of ARTPOP and reestablished Gaga's artistic validity, which will help her when relaunching her pop career. Likely, Cheek to Cheek has done nothing to delay the next album. Instead it has replaced the "blackout" which ruined her momentum between Born This Way and ARTPOP with a solid project that helps to keep Gaga's image and star power afloat.

Yes I'm truly totally happy with it.

I love the genre.

I always wanted that Gaga would have done a jazz album, especially after 'The Lady is a Tramp' that I immediately loved it.

And I love the fact that she has done something different and another genre, I'm here for that.

Plus this era has been promoted very well and the performances were amazing.

I'm just not as hyped for this era, but I'm kinda enjoying it idk

I see it as a blimp in the timeline, I'll be happier when we get to her next pop release.

I've never listened to jazz frequently before c2c but she has opened my mind to the genre. I don't dislike the nor was I as hyped as I was for her other albums. I've not listened to it anywhere near as much as her other material but I really do like most of the songs. It's really authentic.  :reductive:

I love it because I really do! Not because Gaga seems happy or anything else. So I didn't vote.

Well it's kind of like we are in an era where I don't listen to the music but I like all the positive attention that is on her lately, so that is a good thing

I am not happy  that she decided to not sing (to me) enjoyable songs anymore, but I can listen to other artists
