I've said this before that instead of promo singles during the run up to an album after the lead single, she should opt to put out singles that didn't make it to the album but that are still amazing - well in advance of the album release. For instance, this would mean, in an annoying, but marketing genius world... Applause release Venus release Album announced w/ no Applause or Venus on the tracklist. Would be awesome. Alternatively, she can go on releasing singles from 'no album' for a year or so, then drop a bombshell that the album does actually exist and is coming on *** date. I think the 2nd one would be pretty cool because it loosens up the whole "omg so many songs out before album and its here in a week" thing. She could've released Applause (June), Venus(September), DWUW(January), Dope (April) & GUY(August), then Announce ARTPOP, when we would get Gypsy (October), ARTPOP (album/November), Tour goes on sale (November), Aura(February), Tour begins (April) Sexxx Dreams (June). Haha that is actually a great point as to why it would make sense. If people aren't pushed away by some big artistic concept like they feel like takes away from the music, they might take a single song for what it is and enjoy it.
