Economy 52,951
http://www.giantfreakinrobot.com/sci/hypospray-star-trek-sooner.html This isnt brand new but recently they brought it up again saying they are getting closer to create the iconic star trek form of injection 3 centuries ahead of schedule :haha: MIT researchers are currently working on a technology that can inject d--gs and medicine into human tissue without the use of hypodermic needles. Does this sound like something you’ve seen on Star Trek? How many times have we seen Dr. McCoy on the original Star Trek or Dr. Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation inject d--gs into someone without a hypodermic needle? Bones uses a hypospray but this actual device is called a “jet injector†and it works by “pushing†medication into human tissue at the speed of sound. The benefits of this technology are numerous. Everything from dealing with squeamish patients to reducing medical waste to making insulin more “user-friendly,†can all benefit from these jet injectors. But it does sound kinda painful though... ummm, if its more painful or even equaly as painful then it defeats the purpose of it. i dont think they will release it until they can make it less painful

The World Health Organization no longer recommends jet injectors for vaccination due to risks of disease transmission 1997: The USA Department of Defense, the jet injector's biggest user, announced that it would stop using it for mass vaccinations due to concerns about infection. Economy 52,951
Why not just use a needle though? if ur like me and not afraid it doesnt matter... but some people are phobic... also if ur diabetic and always taking shots im sure it would get annoying. if they can invent a painless way to do it that doesnt lead to soreness especially for diabetics or people with phobias why not?
