The media did, and apparently so did many it was marketed to judging by its sales. Her previous pop album sold 1m+ in one week. ARTPOP couldn't do that during its entire cycle. Who would ever call that album a commercial success? Gaga herself even says it underperformed commercially, even if the reason is disputed by different parties. I said that maybe it didn't do as well as her last releases, but it is far from a flop like you ALWAYS call it. And actually, people who decided to judge the album on its actual quality whether than its success level and Gaga herself liked it. And maybe it did underperform, but it's not a flop, so stop calling it that. A GRAMMY win next year, and Gaga could get her 5th major release with 1M+ WW estimated sales. MusiCharts - 634k (from its first 9 weeks) MediaTraffic - 644k (from its first 10 weeks) Here's hoping it makes the cut of Vivendi's annual top 10 best-sellers for us to get its official WW numbers, at least for its peak year. Your one of the only ones around here who constantly drags it no matter what any one says, a Metacritic score of 61 if FAR from critically panned, and ARTPOP has sold nearly 800k in the US and 2.3 million+ WW, FAR more than many pop albums released by artists who are at their "peak", while Gaga "flopped". Just because it didn't sell 1 million in the first week doesn't mean it flopped and just because it scored a measly 10 points less than BTW on Metacritic doesn't mean it's critically panned. I'm beyond TIRED of the hate for ARTPOP just because of how well C2C is doing and how ARTPOP "flopped" compared to BTW.
