NEW ZEALAND

3 (8) Cheek to Cheek

:excited: New peak

Another top five entry, now making all her major releases to peak within the top three there.  :applause:

Is C2C still selling greatly in NZ? Would love for it to climb to #2 and tie itself with TF and AP.

Whaaaat  Amazing! :applause:

Ikr. But I've also seen some even pushing that BTW hasn't crossed the 6M mark yet because that's what Mediatraffic reported at the end of 2011.

3 months ago Mediatraffic reported Born This Way sold 6.3M copies WW.

'Born To Die' by Lana Del Rey sold also 17.000 units last week and has a total of 4,79 million units so far, 'Back To Bedlam' by James Blunt sold around 12,5 million copies so far, 'Back To Black' by Amy Winehouse nearly 14 million and 'Born This Way' by Lady GaGa 6,3 million.

They can stop trying now.

Ikr. But I've also seen some even pushing that BTW hasn't crossed the 6M mark yet because that's what Mediatraffic reported at the end of 2011. I mean, come on. If we're all going for the minimum, then TF/TFM's numbers should just be at 14M max. Vivendi, UMG's parent company, even reported less. Prior to BTW's release, their numbers for TF/TFM were at 12.4M only. But everyone's using the 15M figure released by the label with their press releases anyway. If the album's branded with success, let's go for the maximum. If the album's branded for being a flop, let's go for the minimum.   :toofunny:

At the end of the day, the numbers most people are gonna read would be from the labels (because major publications are supplied with info from the labels, and not from sites whose audience is from the online pop forums). And those numbers are likely not the actual sales. They're mostly shipments under the vague term "estimated sales". And everyone's using this. That's the norm and it won't change until someone reputable could track everything with every single retailer in the world.

I always wonder, aren't all shipments supposed to be sales at some point?

after a year or two 80% of the remaining copies are severely discounted so stores can get rid of them. it's just that amateur chart Sites cant' track them bc the sales arent that high.

Rollercoaster

After this week clinging on to the top 10 theres no promo until cbs. .. I dobt know when that is but hopefully it'll keep the album charting high.

Very good predictions for 4th week. I felt really sorry for Jessie J but I guess she will do more and C2C will be #9 :sara:
