Don't need to be a scientist to figure that out.  :spin:

Coming from a former Christian mind you.  :spin:

Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.

Microevolution is a thing. That is evolution you can observe.

yes. We know thing mutate but that doesnt mean all scientists claim to know about evolution is true.

We didnt observe all the changes. All we have are fossils and remains and the best we can do is try to piece things together. With cells on the otherhand we can stidy them concretely and properly

Im not suggesting evolution doesnt exist. But the cell theiry which was the example used is much more accepted as a fact than general evolution which still has tones of study needed

And some theories are extremely vague like string theory for instance. Just scratching the surface. Could even be flat out wrong and totally scrapped in the future

Proving my point originally that a "scientific theories" are not all at the same level

Microevolution has been observed countless times but w/e I understand your point.

But my point is that science is not a BELIEF. I'm not saying you have to accept all things in science, but you cannot just say that all this research done to come up with such theories is just false.

I'm not really surprised. Scientists only believe in things they can see with their own eyes and explain with logic and facts. If he doesn't want to believe in God, that's his choice. But I still don't agree with him. Science doesn't explain everything.

Even if the information was provided to you, could you comprehend it? If there are forces at work that go beyond our known universe, then it's like trying to see the forest from the trees.

What we think of "god" or whatever force that governs our physical law and its properties that allow us to even make sense of our existence, could range from how gravity works per mass, the molecular structure and reaction to atomic energy, and the cycles in which those priorities either grow or diminish.

Could humanity somehow comprehend our universe beyond the labels we give it? Having faith in mankind with its limits can be just as flawed as having faith in a deity.

This is so deep :applause:

no no of course not

Its just that sometimes ppl say "thats just a theory" then ppl respond that with science theories are facts until proven differently or that things we take as facts are still called "theories"

Then the user above responded by saying "look up the definition of theory"

All i was trying to say was that theories exist at different levels. Some that are pretty much accepted as facts, others are strongly accepted but still debated, and other theories still very vague thats all i was saying

Also the argument some ppl make that scientific theories are facts until proven with something else cant even make sense for a lot of things considering some things have multiple theories and u cant have multiple facts if they contradict eachother

In short, "theories" are not all the same in how much u can consider them as facts thats all :)

i disagree. Everything works in some way therefore theres a science behind everything

Even God himself would have a way he functioned. Superior beigs such as angels if they exist there would be a science to them

Its just that in reality, science only really started taking off 200 years ago so were still very limited. Were at a very young stage still

Its not that science cant explain everything but rather, we humans just cant make sence if it cuz a lot of science we just dont know

And for the record i believe in God and i believe in science. One doesnt have to contradict the other :)

Like who is he to say there is no God when he can't even prove God does not exist or that his theories exist? I believe in science and I believe in God and all three unified forms of Jesus Christ, Regular Jesus, Sweet Baby Jesus, and Black Jesus. Also, I find the creation of the universe to be very full of loopholes from what scientists say. How is it possible for there to be matter existing in a vacuum of nothingness and then one day, boom, somethingness? How is it possible for the universe to be limited? How is it possible for a higher being to create a universe too? Like a lot of people my beliefs do not heavily fall on science or religion because I know nothing like that can be proven so Hawking can suck on that. How very open minded of him to come to an unproven theory and believe in it as if it were law. Ugh

Gagaloo911

it's not a fairytale ffs  btw it's older than 2 thousand years

well evolution is also just a belief.

:lmao:

No hun, religion is a belief. Science is found on empirical evidence and testable theories, which can then be given evidence for or against. Religion has no such thing as testable theories because the theory of God existing cannot be tested. Therefore, it's a belief with absolutely no evidence.

Evolution has such evidence is therefore not a belief.

answers are missing from everything so i agree with u!!!

Im a great believer in science but as i already said, were in the very early stages of development. We didnt really start ti advance much until 200 years ago. So much to learn

Even simple stuff like what foods are healthy and not theres always info changing

Can we seriously claim to know the secrets of this massive universe? Its rediculous to assume such non-sence that we know what exists and doesnt

Shows a lack of humility
