Rat Boy 43,566
Selena, Britney, Brian May, Zedd, Andy Cohen, Univision haha That's exactly what I'm saying!!! But some people here still don't get that I find that fishy. It's weird... LOL "****ing rat" - @Dynamite
migamiga 12,102
Absolutely! They come right out and say, "Go buy it now"! They are all people who have worked with Gaga or that Gaga has recently seen their show and spent time with them or tweeted support to them in the past. Seriously, what does it matter? It's promo...why are fans complaining about it and picking it apart? Just enjoy it, it is supposed to be fun when your fave gets promo and attention. I have no problem with promo. Promo the hell away! It's my favorite part of an album cycle, but this is just different and kind of weird to me. Promo is appearances and interviews and performances. This feels contrived. Yes, they have all worked with Gaga or have somehow been linked to her before but then why didn't Britney tweet about ARTPOP? Same with Brian May. Why all of a sudden now? I get it, they're trying to go #1 but it kind of feels like a desperate ploy at this point. If it wasn't meant to happen then just let it go. Don't shove it down peoples' throats. Do you get where I'm coming from? I feel so misunderstood by some people's responses First ya complain about the lack of Promo, and now we getting flooded with promo and ya still aren't happy You don't have to generalize me. I never complained about lack of promo. I just said that these tweets don't seem genuine. :madge:
Break the Ice 0
Gaga needs to stop being so desperate for success. Enough is enough. Britney, and I doubt the others, tweeted those tweets themselves. & NO, celebrities don't post links for people to buy other's material. They praise it and leave it at that. These celebrities were paid or asked to promote Cheek to Cheek. It's more than obvious. You think Britney got on her laptop & tweeted "jazzy delight" and then added a damn iTunes link just so Gaga could get a #1 album? Please. Britney doesn't even care if her albums go #1 anymore. Gaga's team is having to be creative. Desperate? Nah, it's just promo. One could really say all promo is desperate. Ariana is giving her album away for free all week. The point of promo is to let people know about the product. It isn't for the super stans. We see everything, all of it. The GP does not. They might catch one interview or one performance or see one tweet from someone they follow,

SERIOUSLY!!! Thank you! Some of these people make me feel like I'm crazy for thinking this. I just wanted to know if other people felt the same way. I wasn't criticizing Gaga or her team. Okay, while Britney doesn't promte her albums that much, I'm sure she'd post a ****ing link of her album to get extra sales. That requires such little effort that even she'd do it. Not disagreeing with you, I totally think this was all faked for sales but you're making Britney sound lazier then she is.

Of course Britney would tweet a link for her OWN album. Clearly you misunderstood.
Nemo 4,293
I suspect they were asked, but not paid.
LilVenusian 579
Yes. It seems like Gaga or her label/management have definitely called in some favors. Its so suss that every single one of them includes the specific iTunes link. Her thirst for that number one spot is palpable at this point
Mama Ru 994
I doubt they are being paid but it wouldn't surprise me if management contacted them and just nicely asked them to listen to the album and tweet about it if they like it. Nothing wrong with that imo. Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.
Sugarfall 3,723
I'm pretty sure they were reguested to do that. I mean putting a download link of that album is a bit weird
Robinladen 1,527
Maybe Gaga promised to tweet about all their next albums aswell.
Antidote 95
I don't know it's hard to judge by a tweet if it's genuine. On one hand I think a lot of celebrities tweet about it because they know Gaga and want to support her, on the other hand it's a little fishy that so many of them tweet about it this weekend...
