Why the excessive promotion?

She didn't do just, like, two GMA interviews and a live performance. She's doing something new every day.

You know maybe they do it like this, something extra cause of the backlash of ARTPOP. A second album that would be deemed "flop" by sales or media would mean that Gaga her commercial future (with all the perks that come with it, performances in big shows or awards and budget by the record label) might be in danger. Not for us but the general public which she needs to an extend.

Maybe they wanna win back the damages done and a pushing it extra or maybe that's just how Bobby works his magic?

The OP is only asking why we think there's been more promotion for this album with the past and present circumstances considered as they find it odd? Some of you are so ready to defend Gags you try to find things that are apparently slating her. Take a breather.

Can y'all go ahead and screw off if you're just gonna post comments like this? To quote that 10 year old that posted above me, "I hate this fanbase so much sometimes".

Did I lie though? Just let the Lady do what she wants. She can't please everyone. Plus, this excessive promo is good, she's catering to a new demographic.

Why are people attacking the OP? It does come off as excessive after the drought of promo we had during the ARTPOP era.

To answer OP: I think it has to do with her new management and also maybe Gaga wants that #1 album for Tony. It would also give her an opportunity to return strong with her next album. And also, this album showcases her vocals like never before and all this promo will sell the album more to get her more recognition and respect even from non-fans.

That being said, I'm loving all this promo.

I think she's promoting it more because she has a **** ton of passion for the project + her management has passion for it too.

I won't die, but I can't live without you

I guess they really want some major limelight given to Cheek To Cheek, and for it to recieve the attention and stuff that they believe it deserves  I was confused at first too, like I thought it'd just be released and that's all, I didn't foresee so much promotion :laughga: I'm pleasantly surprised

Thanks. I guess I'm not the best with elaboration but it seemed pretty simple to me, seems like everyone is like "Wow look at all the promo" until a thread comes about questioning it

I think it's because you used the word 'excessive' in the title as it implies that it's over the top but it's not hard at all to see what you actually meant, people are just too ready to jump on someone.

Hahahaha, there was NO promotion with ARTPOP, it's about damn time we saw this much effort and motivation being put into Gaga's work/vision.

You're complaining about too much promotion, when with ARTPOP there was slim to none?

Wow what is wrong with our fan base?  :spin:

I'm not complaining :smh: & even so, there's a such thing as a middle ground.

Who the **** do you think you are to minimize a genre that has centuries of passion and creativity stitched to it?

Ummmmmmmmmmm.... Jazz has only been around since the beginning of the 20th century. The style of Jazz that Gaga is performing is something that was popular during the 30s, 40s & 50s.... (not centuries)

I think that besides the things that have already been said, it's also a 'way' to try the new management and promo for the next era.
They're doing it really great and I'm sure that the next era will be good as well with promo, I can already see a new HSN special :sara:
