Valextra 58 Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I saw the first two episodes. Very great show, Shonda did a great job, even if it's not created by her, maybe this is why is more good. It's at the same level of 'Pretty Little Liars' or 'Revenge', even more trash because it's too much unrealistic, but this is why we like these shows, don't we? But beside that the rhythm is really good, the story is interesting, keeping the interest high, and the case of the episode it's short and well put inside the general plot. All the male leads are really handsome. Viola Davis is amazing in this role. I'm curious to see what could happen in so many episodes and seasons with this kind of plot. My point was not about what show is better, but about the fact that is extremely unrealistic at the same level of the others two shows that I mentioned. As much as that's your opinion, it's not really true either in relation to PLL, I mean just the concept of an all seeing 'A'(even though it's more than one person) that is like genius level smart is more ridiculous than anything HTGAWM has shown so far. Who knows, HTGAWM might get more ridiculous as it goes on, but for now, it's not even nearly the same level as PLL. Pretty Little Liars is simply ridiculous because the girls should have moved out of Rosewood by now. Compared to PLL, nothing on HTGAWM makes me want to face-palm at how much I have to suspend my belief. Get back to me when HTGAWM has a bizarre omniscient antagonist and has gone in circles for five seasons. Though I do agree with everyone saying how good HTGAWM is! A group of students that already in their first days of school go immediately to the Tribunal with a 'legendary' lawyer to resolve those kind of murder cases without any kind of experience before, also sleeping with presumed 'hacker' to have information about the case or that they go in in the middle of the night in the house of their teacher only to communicate her an 'idea' that was keeping the door open while she was having a s-x affair with the policeman of the relate case with all the doors opened, yes it's very realistic and clever. Everyday life situations. It's at the same level of the absurdity of some situations of the shows that I mentioned. And with this I didn't say that this show is bad, it's really great actually but don't come at me saying that these kind of situations are common in a Law school or reality, at least not in my country. At least in PLL in the first episodes and season they were kind of realistic. Or the fact for example that in the second episode the man put the gay guy in the bed full of blood, "an evidence", touching him and approaching in that way in front of everybody, come on, that scene was hilarious... Or again in the first episode the cop saw them exit in the middle of the night from the teacher house with the carpet and they invent that story.. But eh, the things mentioned in the thread don't really jump at me as being terribly unrealistic in TV standards. The only thing that gets me is the trials, really. I'm left wondering if that's how trials really work: by getting people to lie for you. I'd hope not, but unfortunately I don't know much about it. By the way you should watch Revenge, it's a really great show. I've been meaning to! I really enjoy mysteries (including PLL even though I bash it so much).
