Wet Fire 7,404
She exactly knows what the music is and is going to be. Electronic music has really worn out over the past few months and the world is focusing in more vocal tracks. I absolutely love Cheek to Cheek and I'm so excited for her next solo album. I won't mind if it's not electronic. I'd be here for production by live band.
Shadow 6,625
Everyone is always calling her a versatile innovator and mega talented musician... but then cry when she starts doing something to show it. She can't keep releasing pf, br, Judas, Venus forever. People cry even if she does release music like that. There is too many folks in this fan base that can't be pleased by her. I think that's the dark side of being versatile. People love you for trying music they would love, while other people feel "betrayed" for ever leaving their first love... People are so dramatic when it comes to music, it's like they forget the remote has channel buttons aka use of the variety of modern entertainment to seek out exactly what they like, otherwise music will not serve its purpose in their lives. :coffee: Do your own research. Levine 23,562
And here I thought that after BTW and ARTPOP she lost all the superficial fans. This thread just proved that I was wrong, they are still here unfortunately.

Born Brave 2,072
I AM SO DONE! All of the people shading Gaga in this topic should be ashamed. If you don't agree then fine, voice your opinions but the fact that people actually think that she's somehow obligated to give them a record or single that fit's their ideal template is pathetic. Most of the people soiling their twinky underwear over what she said actually missed the point all together. She didn't shade her entire discography she simply made a very valid observation in regards to the direction that the industry is trending towards. At the time of release of TF, TFM, BTW, and even ARTPOP music listeners craved the artificial and enhanced vocal productions of electronic musi. Over the last 2 years or so that's been rapidly declining. People are craving authentic music. Look at the billboard 100 right now- while you still have electropop songs there they are mostly forgettable songs by forgettable artists... but the most surprising thing you see is Sam Smith, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line holding their own. 2 of those are COUNTRY. Country music has become more appealing to a lot of people because it has a realness to it. It's not fabricated. Gaga is a very very smart musician and businesswomen. She wants to make music that can appeal to everyone, not just the people that want more of the same ole same ole that will be stuck in your iTunes library and forgotten about. Why download more songs like MJH, Scheisse, and Poker Face when we've been there and done that? She wants to grow her repertoire and not be one dimensional. For years words like "basic" and "flop" meant the same as death and despair- now suddenly when she seems to have listened to her fans you change your opinion again... bless her heart. I think she's done with people telling her what to do with her career. New management, new philosophy, but SAME Gaga. The chains on her legs have been detached and ya'll are ALL in for a rude awakening.
