daviddarko 144 Posted September 26, 2014 Share Posted September 26, 2014 It's weird because I was just thinking the other day how the main themes of this video could be applied to her life over the last year or so, it's almost parallel. * Hospital scene = hip surgery. * Being dropped from def jam = Troy leaving her. * Breakdown in apartment scene = Her depression last year. * Doing everything all over again and building herself back up = Getting Bobby as her manager, releasing Cheek to Cheek and starting to write new music. Marry the Night is probably my favourite Gaga video. I think her saying the ending is her today is representative of how Gaga dancing, going to her Interscope meeting and getting into the car with the huge hat (which I see as a representation of her having a head filled with so many ideas), shows how getting back on her feet after last year and working on Cheek to Cheek was a catharsis for her to once again be that fearless girl from New York with a head filled with ideas and possibilities. :applause: Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
