TSUNAMI 20,201
Kworb is not itunes and shouldn't be used as a sales chart. Kworb a--lyses popularity via an algorithm that scans the web - the site owner doesn't make it entirely clear how the popularity is calculated. The following is taken from FAQ page on kworb: WORLDWIDE ITUNES CHART Q: Are the points a sales estimation?A: No, they are not. Q: Why aren't the points a sales estimation? A: The point of the chart is to measure the worldwide popularity of songs and albums. If I were to use the actual market shares, then the US and the UK combined would dwarf all other countries. To me that is not very interesting. If you want sales figures, use sources such as IFPI or Mediatraffic. The points used for this chart have absolutely nothing to do with sales. Q: Are all versions of a song or album included? A: No, only the highest charting version is taken into account. Due to the methodology it's fairer this way, although it does mean that songs with multiple versions are at a disadvantage. Troll much?
