Her acusations were towards her management and some people that were part of her team. Even if you buy into the narrative that her father didn't talk to her for a while after she started causing a commotion, there was never a threat that she wasn't going to be able to pay the rent. There was never a point where she didn't have a support system and the ability to rely on her family. She was never going to be homeless. The whole thing rings so false because she has never experienced the struggle of not knowing where her next meal was going to come from, let alone whether or not she was going to have a reliable housing situation. It's really quite insulting to her fans than didn't have the privileged uppringing that she experienced. It doesn't matter what her intention was. The point is that she is completely out of touch with reality. Contrasting herself against other popstars with a victim narrative? She has experienced all the same advantages as the other girls. Her shortcomings and failures as an artist are her own. She operates under the same system as the rest of them. It's a way for record companies to bring in more money, by providing collector items or special box sets to those who want to invest or collect these types of special options. The pictures wouldn't be collectable, if they weren't limited or signed. If they sent a poster out to everyone that sent in 2 or 3 dollars, then it wouldn't be a collectable and it wouldn't have much opportunity to appreciate in value. That's how these things work. These are nice options for the super stans and they bring in more money to supplement the album and label. Do something about what? That's the way big business runs. Some items cost more than other items. There are options for a wide range of income levels. Record labels are big business, so they are going to have options available for people at different income levels. Sorry that you can't afford a box set, but there are some people who can and who like to spend their money on collector items. There is nothing Gaga should "do about this".
