I also wouldn't call it "screaming" because shes still actually singing (and in GREAT pitch too ) In general, I expected EVERY track on Cheek to Cheek to be Gaga belting after hearing Lush Life, but she was very masterful and showcased her lower register and soft vocals on many songs (including Bang Bang ) Her "loud" moments were never... ,"Louder than Lovely" (so loud/shout-y sounding that they lost their character, pitch, color, or beauty ). Its a phrase that ive heard all my life from professional music conductors :) 100% correct. She knows exactly what she's doing from a technical standpoint.
