She talked about how excited she is to perform in Greece because ARTPOP has a lot of references to the 12 Olympian Gods, especially Aphrodite, who is central to the work.

- She said that she's been influenced by the planet Venus astrologically since birth, and because of this she connects the album strongly to her body and mind.

- Gaga thinks that something very magical happened back during the time of the Greek Gods, and when she calls Aphrodite to participate in the show, she truly believes there's a moment that happens when the whole audience believes in it, and it's so strong that an aura shields and saves us from the tough present.

Ugh, enough with this. Embarrassing.

As if she didnt was a musician

Interesting!

This interview explains so much for me! It totally makes sense that she planned the artRAVE whilst recovering - it's just a fun party where she can let loose that has a lot of opportunity for improvisation, unlike the BTWB in which everything had to be expertly timed due to all the moving props and stage interaction. So that's interesting to me.

And since she's gone on record as saying Tony helped her to sing after her depressive bout this winter, that quote about him teaching her she doesn't have to be on top all the time explains to me why she chose G.U.Y. as a single. I am sure that song is a metaphor for career struggle as well as for power bottoms, and even though it wasn't successful I hope she's developed the kind of mindset that will help her deal with that.

lol no they only ask her because this is showbiz not every problem a woman face is because shes a woman!!!

Say what you will but go and look up countless bands that bring up Bowie as master influence and how they are treated when he is brought up and then go through the countless Gaga interviews where Bowie is mentioned and THEN go and look up the countless Bowie interviews about how he has influenced just about everyone, but especially guys in rock bands. There is a difference. They sort of pick on Gaga in a subtle way that he has never acknowledged her at all and has never mentioned her work. Say what you will, but this is how it looks to me. They have always acted like Bowie is too good for Gaga.
The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

God this is why I hate feminists! No thats because Gaga is the biggest pop star in the world and her biggest influence is bowie and she always talks about him but he never mentions her but these bands your talking about are not very known and people dont expect from bowie to mention them even if they were a rock band girl group or a female solo artist.

can't wait for Gaga's first real album in late 2017 :hor:

Da fuq?! What beef does she have?

Had enough of the women in the media who are obsessed with 'I got there first'. What a lame ass failure if that's all you can cling to.

No such thing as originality today, only authenticity.

Wonderful interview BTW

Whatever, but I am not a feminist.

- Gaga says that she is a better singer than beautiful, and a better song composer than beautiful, and would rather be good at singing and writing that be beautiful.
