Whispering 18,865
I was just explaining why some fans were / are upset, i love ARTPOP as an album, but no one can deny the era was extremely disappointing for us and Gaga. Some fans are upset, some will always be. Some fans are not! Some fans didn't enjoy the BTW era, but are enjoying this one. You are wrong, everyone is not "extremely disappointed" in this era. The point remains, at some point these extremely disappointed fans should find a way to move on. It has been a year and it is just a pop album. It's past time to let it go! Creyk 17,810
I hope not, and it's kind of weird how they are SO ADAMANT about not supporting her jazz record when they purchased her perfume that had nothing to do with pop music, they bought all her magazines because she was on them, and for some strange reason creating an album with a legend is seen as "stabbing them in the back" I mean get real people. To be fair, creating a perfume does not take away from her real music - spending years singing jazz instead of singing better songs is taking away from her career;) Even if not pop, she could do more enjoyable genres, like the acoustic album or the rock album, maybe an R & B album could work too

She is doing something that makes her feel happy and creative, that never takes away from an artist's career...it will enhance it. FYI, many people actually find jazz songs to be better than pop songs.

Nothing in your post is fair. You're projecting and treating her like a robot that needs to make things on command. She's an artist, not your puppet. Ronk 14,762
What's your point You say "singing jazz instead of singing better songs", but many think jazz is better than pop songs. You say "she could do more enjoyable genres", but many think jazz is the most enjoyable genre. It's just a matter of personal taste and opinion. Personally, I discovered Gaga because of her jazz years ago. She has been singing jazz occasionally for many years. While I like her pop music, I like her jazz even better. I live outside the space time continuum.
daviddarko 144
Agreed. Little Managers being Little Immaturesters. Be Grateful. instead of acting Entitled. And for the record, No, I cannot imagine being in her shoes... It must be totally nuts. I feel like a lot of the Monsters need to get over themselves. And just appreciate and be grateful for what Gaga *IS* now. Where she is NOW. In her transformation. If you are holding onto the past and are not able to respect Gaga for her transformation, then you don't really love her unconditionally. And I think that's the point, she's trying to get us to love her for who she is.... unconditionally. So that she can actually be herself, instead of being controlled and manipulated by everyone and everything around her. And in the internet there are so many frustrated teens . And some Pathetic and obsessive Madonna fans
Dominic 11,922
I agree with some of what you've said but let's not pretend Gaga is completely blameless. She has hyped and promised so much over the years that people are frustrated. Think about it, we are the ones that are paying for Gaga to do these incredible things, we, as fans and the GP, are putting money into their pockets so I think claims such as "Gaga has done so much for us" whilst true are incredibly naive, we have done a lot for Gaga. We support, promote, buy and defend Gaga and her work continuously so it is natural that when promised certain things and we purchase it we expect a good result. It's a symbiotic relationship, we as fans and Gaga as the star do so much for eachother but it seems as of late Gaga is offering too much but not following up. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Miel 15,009
I think there's a multitude of factors that tie into this new age of music rivalries, but my guess for the biggest factor is innovation in technology and social media interaction. People can now argue with each other, around the globe, at top speed. Also, the whole gender-role/social impositions of putting women against each other. 3 points in and ready for more
