Nah, that's for artists who contribute minimally to their original songs in every way. (writing, composing, producing)

Gaga isn't like Rihanna- who shows up at a songwriting camp and throws a few lines or words here and there in a few songs, then records quickly without any input to production.

The Fame to the Fame Monster were released a year apart...:awkney: and TFM was a solid piece of music

Has this like gotten anyone else upset or angry or depressed at all? like, im all for gaga being happy and feeling like herself again and i only want the best for her but....when she makes jazz music is doesnt do the same for me as when she sings dance or pop or rock. Like are we NEVER gonna hear another great dance anthem ever again???? Im so scared that might be the case cause i cant see her putting out more then two albums in a year if she actually puts out a jazz album every year like she says shes going to. Is anyone feeling the same way as me? Can someone please respond this has been on my mind for a long time now. And please dont call me a fan just because i dont like the new direction shes taking... im just saying im sad that i might never ever get that same initial excitement about her putting out new awesome pop music again.

you're right though, jazz is great, but not as exciting and i think it doesn't got that replay value that her pop songs have

The keyword here is "planning". And we all know that not all plans come to fruition, especially when it involves Gaga. Let's just wait and see.

Very interesting interview I think. Confirmed a lot of my thoughts on the Jazz album and why she's doing it right now, when she said things like:

Did you find the real you during the recording process?

I did. But you know who I found? I found the Italian girl who was 18 years old and was ready for anything. I found the fighter. I found her again. In this business, you go through all these obstacles and challenges and become like a hardened shell. I had to break through all of that to be able to be authentic when I was singing. Sometimes you have to dig really deep.

I think that's probably the most important part of the interview.

Anyway, whether she releases a jazz album every year or not (which a lot of people seem to be focusing on, when there's SO much more to this interview than that closing comment), I just hope she's happing creating whatever type of music she wants to :)

Does this mean all the b---hy, annoying twinks will finally haul ass out of the fanbase and leave the rest of us in peace? Or are they going to stick around and whine some more?

Well, 15 months apart. ;)  Still not very plausible with all that Gaga has going on at her current level. Of course, TFM was also an EP, not a full length album.  :)  I think she is past the point of releasing EPs.

Also, there is a certain industry standard for Pop artists. The large majority do wait at least two years between album releases. I guess it could possibly work if she would rely heavily on a songwriting team, like so many of the others do, but I can't ever see her doing that...and really, I don't want her to.

THIS so much! I do wonder if the majority commenting even read the interview. They seemed to just zero in on the thread title and jump straight to meltdown mode.

This jazz album and time with Tony was something that Gaga needed. It was the right project at the right time!

Now, she is back to feeling like herself again. As any artist of any kind knows, it is next to impossible to feel creative when your mind and soul has shut down. I believe this side project was the answer to get Gaga back to herself and in the end will pay off when she goes back to her original music. :)
