I liked how she did it but she should say something like "well i just dont give 2 flying f*cks if my tickets are sold out or not, i will still do the show even if only one person buy a ticket for it" cause you know, this is about having people interested in your work, not about selling out arenas (and she do it too) so...
and i really hope she changes all the show! i mean, the costumes, maybe put Fashion! and MJH back on the list, a really GREAT version of TEOG and MTN (even on piano) and the original BTW (but i heard early in the tour that she wont sing those songs - BTW, SD, Alejandro and Aura)... well whatever, if she dont change the costume for aura, she can cancel the tour

The interview was lovely. Especially the Aura part. :flutter:

... Up until the ticket sales part. Why ruin a good Q&A with that question? :awkney:

Respect cultures which disrespect others tho? :awkney:

I do think she should stay quiet and not stir up the pot but it's a shame that due to political correctness we have to respect misogynist and homophobic cultures. I for one will never respect such cultures.

Yeah, we get it, some cultures have ignorant beliefs. That doesn't mean we shouldn't engage with the people though, especially if doing so will help open minds. You can't combat ignorance by simply shutting off the culture as a whole.

I think the point with the censorship here is to be able to deliver a positive message without alienating the people through culture-shock. Dressing modestly has nothing to do with misogyny or homophobia or ignorance, it's just a plain cultural norm. You could argue that by principle, no one should have to submit to the sensitivities of another person. And that might be true, but at the same time, if you want  people to be receptive to different ideas, you would fare better by approaching them sympathetically.  :unicorn:

She isn't changing her stance on gay rights. She is simply going to wear different outfits and maybe refrain from screaming Mother****ers. If Madonna and Elton John can go and perform there, I don't see why Gaga can't.

Its not a homophobic culture! it just is against any public s-xual acts whether its gay or not.. You can openly be gay but you cant act on it publicly.

It's not? I can go there and hold hands with a guy? That's not a s-xual act.

Most artists would be amazed to have 100 people turn up to their shows!

She is on a worldwide tour, performing to new audiences.

People expect her to sell out every single show, but in reality I think the public noise surrounding her work is just that. Background noise. As long as she keeps performing and putting out great work then I will always be a fan.

I think I am guilty of getting swept up in the TF/TFM/BTW type hype that surrounded her, and although she is still a major recording artist I think i'm more aware now of how little that really matters. She completely blew me away with this record, I love the songs, I loved ARTrave, I'm excited for C2C and I couldn't really care less about what the greater public thinks about her new efforts.
