"If you have revolutionary potential, then you have a moral imperative to make the world a better place"

Btw, his face is super huge.

That's much more easy and coward.

It takes some BALLS to be a gay spokesperson, HUGE balls! Especially in this climate full of hatred toward us.

:tea:

He just wants to have more appeal to the public.

He has no obligation to be a gay spokesperson  Better to have someone who's very passionate about the cause, than someone who's pressured into doing so because they happen to be part of that minority

I'm torn because, i can understand that he just want to be a singer who happens to be gay, and not THE Gay british singer...

but at the same time when you know that he went from this:

it feels like he's just not being himself and trying to appeal to the masses.. wich is working i guess

but when you know that the album is for a straight guy and there is songs like "Like I Can" and he sort of pretends that he's talking to a girl by saying "he'll never love you like i can" just rubs me the wrong way :awkney:

just be dope and proud :manicure:

Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen

Or this at 16.

Btw, that last picture was a picture taken from his private FB or twitter account before he was famous, just like the other two.

The others are two pictures, not hundreds. He didn't dress like that all the time, everyday, from his teens to his 20s.

Everyone has pictures of themselves out on the town, at different events, that are more OTT than they are in real life. IDK...maybe he went through a phase of experimenting with styles and looks in his teens?  As a teen, he did wear suits and/or dress clothes when he was performing music and that's the same thing he is doing now. Most adults change their style of dress and how they present themselves to the world from the way they did in their teens anyhow. Sam is now a public figure. When he goes out, or when he performs, he is working.

I would hate to think that people expected me to dress, like I dressed on a few fun nights out at concerts and events downtown, during my adult life. It's odd that people have decided that two pictures years ago, out of hundreds...some during that same time and some since then, is the "real Sam". That's trying really hard to make something out of nothing.

Yeah i agree with you about the dressing part, god forbids if people saw what i looked like 5 years ago :dies:

but now, the music itself you can see he's being truly honest because he wants everbody to relate to the song.. i guess its not a bad thing, but if you're writting for a guy don't be afraid of using "he, him..."

He uses he and him.

His latest single is about the marriage of one of his close friends, that was a mess. I'm going to assume that a few of the songs are about other subjects, like this last one is.

lol 1 hit wonder anyway

He has already had 3 top ten hits in the US, so you are already wrong on that one. :)

I think this makes perfect sense.

I actually had no idea he was gay prior to reading this thread, and I've actually listened to heaps of his music. I like that he wants no attention put on his s-xuality - it's what we're all aiming for isn't it? To not have to feel different for being the way we are.

Go Sam!

He's not forced to be.

This. I know where he's coming from.

But that last sentence.

"made it feel NORMAL"

:what:

He said he's not trying to be a gay spokesperson, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about equality and civil rights. I'm sure if he was asked to contribute or help out in the cause, he totally would, if he hasn't already, which I doubt. I do agree with him. He's doing his thing, and he's being himself; nothing more and nothing less.
