zexion_armando 241
i'm studying stage design...the castle was terrible for a pop show. I have a PhD in a stage design from the Tampa Academy of Dramatic Tricks. The Castle was flawless.
Muh 144
No. The Monster Ball was a great show, unlike the artRave all of it's outfits were perfect, the stage was great and the setlist is great as well, a cohesive production overall but the BTWBall is Gaga's best tour tho
VforVendetta 2,024
Not at all. If you actually went to one, it was incredible. The best atmosphere of any Gaga's shows. The storyline made sense and for the most part stayed true the entire show. The costumes weren't ridiculous at all. The dancing was the best we've ever seen from her. It was all so amazing. Anyway I think that the best atmosphere was the dark atmosphere of TBTWB.

MonsterRocket 55
In my opinion TMB didn't have any 'flaws', and if it had, they were minimum. The reason why we love TMB has nothing to do with her commercial success. Of course, that helped making the intense atmosphere that the public would create in the concert and the live experience, but the main reasons are others. Every single performance was breathtaking, the costumes were as creative as amazing, Gaga looked so unique and flawless and everything was so well put together. The BTWBall was a bit messy, but in the ended up being good and creative as well, even if it was less 'spectacular'. It didn't have something as the 'Paparazzo', a big car, a fountain... the stage was not as dynamic, even if the castle was good. I guess the ArtRave is her worst tour so far (i prefer TFB), but it doesn't mean it's bad. It's a big show and Gaga knows how to pull it off. Saying this doesn't mean we're bashing or something the rest of her tours, but let's face it, TMB is her greatest tour. It's not such a bad thing. Sometimes you get an A+ in an exam. Others you get a B+ or a B. It's the same with Gaga.
thomasFr 66
Of course not, her previous works which were acclaimed by critics weren't overated, I think it's more her lately work with ARTPOP and the artRAVE which are WAY to UNDERATED ! Yeah, I mean it only had a castle that moves, stage projections, hologram screen heads, inflatable vaginas, meat racks, guns, floating dresses, eggs, etc

Miel 15,009
While I do think people's receptions of a lot of Gaga's works, MB included, ride along with her success at the time, I still think it was an amazing show- objectively, Gaga's most 'perfect' as a pop show. I do think BTWB is better, though, in terms of plotline and imagery. I know there's a lot of argument on here about its stage design and lighting, but I have to say that the castle, as a concert set, was pretty amazing. All considering the engineering aspects of all the rotatory designs in the castles movement and shifting, it was imo an architectural innovation in terms of stage design. As for lighting, I'll admit it was bull**** for the first few months- it wasn't until maybe her final Asia shows, early Oceania shows that the lighting got decent. By its end, the lighting was absolutely fantastic. But then again, I have no qualifications in anything, so I don't know how relevant my opinion is. 3 points in and ready for more

AJH219 4,448
The Monster Ball is the only Gaga concert I've been to so, for me, it is her most flawless expedition ever. I loved the set, costumes, the music, and the overall fantastic atmosphere. If/when I have the opportunity to see her live again, this opinion may change.
