No. It's a duet album, it's also comprised completely of covers.

If it was a solo cover album, maybe.

If it was a full duet album in Gaga's usual pop style, say, a dual album between her and Beyonce or her and Britney etc, maybe.

But this is too far removed.

Albums

The Fame

The Fame Monster

Born This Way

ARTPOP

Side Projects/EPs

Red & Blue

The Cherrytree Sessions

A Very Gaga Holiday

Cheek to Cheek

Although Cheek to Cheek is the closest to official  ;)

It's technically not by music standards.

"Billboard classifies EP as 4 to 6 songs. However, according to Recording Industry Association of America, an EP is defined as 3-5 songs, whereas a single is allowed to contain up to 4 songs. In the United Kingdom, any record with more than four distinct tracks or with a playing time of more than 25 minutes is classified as an album for sales-chart purposes."

It was probably marketed as an EP in order to extend The Fame's success, but Gaga and her fans know it is an LP. It has 8 songs. Lorde's debut LP and FKA twigs debut LP both have 10 songs.

The Fame Monster is an LP.

The Fame Monster is an EP. It fits the time allotted to be classified as an EP. There are 9 songs on some EPs. 10 songs is usually when albums start being referred to as LPs.

I always thought TFM was an EP

I get why Interscope wouldn't want an album with leftovers to be the fifth and final album Gaga releaseas as part of the original contract.

Since it's a full album I guess it technically counts, but it feels a bit weird to list it alongside The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way and ARTPOP.

Not really since it's a collab album, if it was an all solo jazz album I would :P

This tbh.

EDIT: Actually, I will not consider any album full of covers a real album.

No I usually don't count collab albums as part of an artist's main discography, and that goes double for an album of covers.

Yes. I feel she's done more than enough to have it on her main discography

Why is it registered as an EP then? It is by Interscope and all the labels who distribute the album.
