Dominic 11,922
The Fame was an amazing fragrance and had an amazing campaign behind it, it was years in the making and everything was done flawlessly. However, with Eau De Gaga everything seems very forced, whilst I understand she may be going for the less than hyped approach it still comes off, to me, as forced. I remember Gaga saying she was not going to be an artist to release several perfumes just for the sake of it and it seems this new fragrance is just that; to garner some publicity for C2C. It doesn't seem to have any planning behind it and all seems very rushed. Even the campaign promos, whilst she looks great, they all seem very basic and aren't anything innovating which is what I thought Gaga would do once again. There seems no real reason to launch a fragrance now and I'd prefer her to concentrate on the music and not the bling. Feel free to disagree we are entitled to our own thoughts however does anyone else feel the same way; that this whole fragrance is forced and possibly a way to garner attention/bling? The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

ThatSLAYGUY 68
I kinda get where you are coming from. I will with hold all my judgement until the fragrance is released, hopefully the scent is amazing FAME smelt like a detailed masterpiece
HeavyPunkLover 2,120
Promoting is one thing Hyping is another. I love when hype is low and promotion is high. Don't love when hype is high and promotion is low. The fragrance is something really commont for every popstar. She is in the game now. She is not more the game changer. Sunny 12,736
Who knows, maybe Eau De Gaga was being worked on before ARTPOP was even released Also, I see people complaining about Fame how it doesn't last long, looks like you can't please people in any way I like dancin', and ponies.... Crash 11
So? Contrary to the pretensions this fanbase has, Gaga is not some "special" artiste beyond some of the antics of the other girls. Not everything she does will be purposeful, not everything will be "art" and above her peers which you all seem to stan for, but somehow don't hold to the same standards as Gaga. She's not immune from generic celeb antics too.Sometimes a celebrity fragrance launch comes down to this- "I need some money, how do I make it". If that's what EDG is, which it seems in my mind, then good for her
Elizabeth 450
I agree with you to an extent, but I think it makes sense with the release of C2C. I don't know if 'forced' is the word to use though. Either way, I'm still interested to see how it pans out in terms of it's release and I'm excited to smell it. BornSimon 4,818
Also, I see people complaining about Fame how it doesn't last long, looks like you can't please people in any way Who says that? FAME is amazing and it lasts very long, I own it and I'm in love with it. Eau De Gaga is just another project, there really shouldn't be such importance given to a fragrance, if Gaga's not hyping it the way she hyped FAME maybe there's a reason, which may be that not everything needs to be overexposed and overpromoted to be good. I know, people in chat say it so much and here sometimes. To me it lasts for 3 days or so! It is amazing I like dancin', and ponies....
Altair 2,000
Gaga contradicts herself a lot. Get used to it if you haven't by now.
Mariano 958
The perfume was supposed to come out after the BTWBall. Back then It would've been forced, but now. . ? Not really. Tho I agree that the campaign looks like a mess. I hope that's not because of Troy Carter leaving, because we'll have to expect more messy promotion for the next album

You know a nothing about this. FAME wasn't years in the making, everything was done in 6 months, EAU DE GAGA isn't basic it is just elegant. The promotion hasn't even begin so stop. The commercials haven't been released. All we got is the web page and some info via gaga's twitter.
lodylody 1,748
What girl would turn down an opportunity to get lots of many by making a pretty scent? She is probably doing this because she wants to make a fragrance with her name attached, and she wants quick money Nothing wrong with that
