xoxo cupcakke 4,781
She probably didn't perform it because she knew she couldn't ever top this iconic performance of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du4uH1fC9B8 That was pretty good. I'm not going to lie. I'd be lying if I didn't say that guy looks a lot like Florence Welch. OMG. If Florence did a cover of this song, that'd be: Â One can only dream though, one can only dream

If Florence did a cover of this song, that'd be: One can only dream though, one can only dream They really do look like each other. It's kinda alarming when you realize it because than Flo starts seeming manly and Noel seems feminine.

monsterdreams 1,529
All of the reviews say she was incredible Only problem is that she should've done wuthering heights Missed opportunity there, probably would've been a highlight and the audience would freak Haters gonna need more than a flashlight for my shade

Michael 533
It's crazy that it's been 35 years since she's performed on stage and she still has that same magnitism and glory

StrawberryBlond 13,287
This is nothing against Kate's talent, but the whole idea of this show and its setlist kinda irks me. Â Why did it have to be a residency? She's 56, she's not got a physical disability and her only child is 17, so why a residency? There's venues this size all over the UK (and the world), so there was no need to focus completely on London. I'm not saying she had to tour the entire world, but one city is a bit ridiculous. I'm sick of singers treating London like it's the best and only place to perform in the UK. It forces fans to go out of way to make time in their lives to travel there and pay extortionate prices for everything. It's like saying: "I'm too lazy to tour, so you have to come to me instead." Choosing such a small venue also means that very few, genuine life-long fans will be able to get tickets. As witnessed by the opening night, it's a ton of celebrity guests present. There are artists the same age as Kate (Madonna) and older (Dolly Parton) who are still doing multiple continent tours and tour extensively so all their fans can see them. Secondly, she only sang 4 singles and completely avoided material from her first 4 albums and her 6th, even though they were her most successful and the albums that are most adored by fans. Everything else was her much lesser known later work, which, although critically acclaimed, is much less well known and sought after. Can you imagine if an artist did their first live concerts in 35 years and only sang 4 hits? I think people thought this would be more of a greatest hits idea and were somewhat disappointed. She has mentioned before that her first tour was exhausting and she hates flying. But I agree about the whole London thing, it's kind of stupid and unfair. I do like the setlist though. anybody knows you can conjure anything by the dark of the moon
