Don't wanna be rude, but it's partly her own fault. If she would get back up singers instead of that loud backing track people might be less confused.

It's easy for you to pull the classic "I'd handle it differently" shtick because you aren't the one berated daily by the press and public everytime you leave your home. If you were mocked everyday for being an over weight, past your prime, pop star do you honestly think you would be able to handle it with more grace then Gaga does? Cmon', most of us would have had several mental break downs by this point.

Stop holding her to some weird stadard, she isn't a Congresswoman who needs to speak through measured talking points. She is a ****ing rock star who sometimes needs to say ****.

I fully agree with you.

It is her very own fault.

I would like her to bring back the back up singers! I think it sounds better with them anyway. Adds more to the live experience.

"...Gaga's refusal to use back-up singers instead of a backing tape straight out of a Britney Spears concert. For a woman with pipes like Gaga it is a shame."

It is safe to say, the majorty of people reading that review will have no idea that there is a difference between a backing tape used for back ground vocals and just straight up lip syncing. To make a comparison between Gaga's vocals and the vocals at a Britney Spears concert is directly implying lip snycing to most people.

Put yourself in Gaga's shoes, this critic mauled her show and tore it from limb to limb....how could she not say something in response? She is just defending her work. I can't blame her for being pissed.

but but but it's true, she's using backing tape lol he never said she was lip synching

I know the critic did not explicitly say she was lip syncing. However "Britney Spears" is synonym for "lip syncing." It's fair to say that the majorty of people reading that review will not know what a backing tape is. So, when the critic compares Gaga's vocals to that of a Britney Spears concert to most people that implies lip syncing.

We could conduct an experiment if you like. Call your Mother and ask her how she is feeling, ask her is she is taking the no fap challange, and ask her if she could explain to you what a "backing tape" is. If she says; a backing track is an audio or MIDI recording that musicians play or sing along to in order to add parts to their music which would be impractical to perform live...I will secede my point. But odds are your Mother is like the majorty of non-pop-star-devotees who would associate the word backing tape with lip syncing.

I do not think Gaga should use backing tracks, I do not think the artRave is Gaga's best work, I do not think this critic was wrong about a lot of things he said, however I do think that Gaga has a right to be pissed and stand up for her work.

Haven't been to the artRave yet, but until then I think I'm gonna trust those that went and insist that you can actually hear her sing.
