I really liked what they did with Applause on SNL. I'm happy for her as a gaga fan but as a pop fan, I'm not supporting crappy music that has been dead for decades... Crappy? Jazz has true, genuine vocals, unlike most of pop music You do realize the whole world can't please you. You have to adjust. Yes its great to watch your favourite POP singer branch out and show her skills in a different genre, but people need to remember that people fell in love with Gaga singing POP music. It was different pop music too, not basic top 40 stuff that got us hooked on her. But if Eminem started singing opera his fans wouldnt be impressed, no matter how good he was at it. Its not what his fans would want from him, even if he happened to be good at it. Same goes for Gaga. If she throws a completely different genre to the one she founded her fan base on, then people are gonna get bored. Gaga's shown us she can write incredible pieces of music, ones that have never chased a trend (until ARTPOP) and don't even sound dated today. I never said "Gaga should release pop music exactly like what's on the radio" ... We're talking about jazz covers.. wooh how fun yay. Not really, most posts are sassy or have humour in them. All of my posts before this were clearly not to be taking incredibly seriously, just like everyone else's but then the crazy fans who would eat Gaga's sh*t came running in to defend what's going to be another album of jazz covers........... like, how can anyone expect every fanb to be thrilled over that rumour? That's another point, people are saying they don't want it to happen because... they don't want it to happen. They know it's a rumour? The 'hysterics' are mere jokes but you can always rely on some fans to let that go over their heads and start up arguments as to why this is apparently the best thing ever... just don't, this is so silly It doesn't. Maybe she's exploring other genres (hoping the PunkGa is a sneak peak) and she's just willing to go all over the place... They can do another jazz album in time.. But this is too soon. I'm excited for Cheek To Cheek, not as much as for a pop album but still, I can't wait for it ! And if another album is released, I'll be excited too. I'm just happy with what we've got tbh. One Jazz album ok, two : NO thank you ! I understand not a lot of people in the fan base are HUGEfans of jazz, and it's understandable you guys want more pop music, but it's Gaga's career! She can do whatever the **** she wants lol and if you guys don't like, you really can't do anything about it. Just support her in all her endeavors. Trust me, she'll make pop music again because that's what gaver her all her success in the first place. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.
