it means that critics would try to tear her and ARTPOP down but she knew that a hybrid can withstand these things

What's with all of you claiming that ARTPOP is her 4th album?????   It's the THIRD one. The Fame Monster was EP in US and in the rest of world a re-release of The Fame. You always refer to it as TF/TFM and now they're suddenly two different albums...????   :fail:  :wtf:

In fact, its her own fault, since she dumped RedOne, the one who created her tbh, all her biggest hits, credibility, fame power, star rank and now she just fu?ked her all career up by trying to be artist teacher, she is a little bit too arrogant imo..

"the one who created her" You sound really stupid.

Then I guess we just disagree

But I'll say this: if she delivered, "they" wouldn't have "come for her"

That's not true. The media would have ripped her to shreds regardless of the quality of her work. Whether she delivered or not is subjective and I'm pretty sure her public image matters more in terms of how they would treat her.

That's not say her actions weren't a catalyst but just because she's saying she predicted they might reflect upon her negatively it doesn't mean she's coming up with excuses. If anything, she's acknowledging the media's negative reaction more than before.

Wrong. "They" were coming for her for legitimate reasons: her commercialism on Twitter in the beginning of the era (obviously contrary to her ARTPOP message), her pretentious delivery of the era's vision (the Warholian expedition mess, which everyone was right to criticize) and how the music itself was not interesting enough to deserve the title ARTPOP.

Applause, DWUW and Dope got critical acclaim and artRAVE is almost only getting great reviews, so it's not as black and white as some are pretending. This era, media-wise, has been a walk in the park compared to other treatments of pop artists in the past.

Yes it sucks that Gaga attempts to illuminate the larger world of art and music for her fans.

Gaga, I thought Born This Way was your third album. :awkney:

Generally TFM is considered to be an album, but it's actually an EP/TF re-release.

Completely disagree. It's just way more convenient for fans (and her) to say that she was a victim of the media.

Exactly.

No matter what, she is given credit where credit is due.

I'm not against it, but she did it in a pretentious way.

"the one who created her" You sound really stupid.
Her debut disagrees.

It means she's more deluded than I thought :rip: She can't honestly think it was not due to the messiness, the mid-era blackout, BTS drama, her acting out against media and critics :deadbanana:

Also, why did the critics not come for Katy's third era? Or One Direction? Or whoevers?

Because the singers you mentioned all stay in their boxes and art pets to labels and media.

Katy stays in the bubblegum pop star box by being so conventionally pretty, writing catchy almost meaningless songs and being cute.

1D.... There's nothing to hate about 1D because they just sing. They don't really do much after that.

It's like if I turned in an essay for school and got a bad grade on it. Most people would be like, "Oh that sucks. I worked hard on this! I guess I'll have to work harder or work differently next time."

Gaga is basically claiming that the teacher is out to get her and wants her to fail.

No. Maybe you just turned in a poorly written essay.

But by claiming the teacher is out to get her, she doesn't have to take responsibility for the problems with her work. It's someone else's fault.
