mucinex 4,260 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Share Posted August 17, 2014 Because ARTPOP signified a change from the darkness (yes genius darkness) of TFM to lighter fare... and gave us danceable and catchy numbers like Do What You Want and GUY. Gypsy was and is perfect as well to showcase the voice, and is one of the few mass relateable tracks on the album... I feel like the upswing to lighter material was essential. okay, we have those few tracks that are worth it but after two years do we need all these fillers? i stated that she could release a few tracks but focus on her Jazz career.
