somechick 1 Posted August 16, 2014 Share Posted August 16, 2014 That doesn't apply to me though, I love it when she is a healthy size, I like it when she's out there but it depends, and I like it when she's reserved and elegant. I just think her weight is distracting on the tour in the outfits she wears and it kind of effects her dancing too and causes her more fatigue on stage. I just want to say when I called her fat above I was being really direct. She obviously has put on weight and the amount of people making up excuses and sucking Gaga's anus in here is ridiculous so that's why I responded like that. I wasn't being hateful bc obviously I love Gaga and she's not fat like a whale or anything. But still, why would anyone want to see their fave looking all flabby like that? I posted that picture of her a few pages back where she looked GREAT, not too skinny but actually quite fit and had muscle. And I think everyone should strive for that, for your general health and well-being, not even to look hot No offense to big people if they like their size though or even skinny people or whoever, but it's obviously not healthy. Like why not strive to be the best you can be? Why can I not want and expect Gaga to be a decent size? You can *want* her to be a normal size, but you can NOT *expect* her to be anything tbh because you don't own her. Oh I wasn't talking about you personally, like the first paragraph applied to you but after that it was really about these other girls. And I don't know how else to say it, her stomach is flabby Whatever, I don't mean to offend anyone or Queen Gags herself for that matter, I'm just telling the truth. I'm sure she will lose it, infact recently she doesn't look too bad. And I'm fat shaming as much as I am super-skinny shaming, both aren't good but I don't personally dislike people who are. It's amazing to me how many people are so judgmental and want her to go back to this and that weight to which they think is "perfect" for her when Gaga is perfect the way she is now. Nobody has the right to tell her otherwise. Yes, she may have gained a few extra pounds but being so tiny (we're the same height) even five pounds makes a difference. Bloating and water weight are also add to that every 28 or so days. She is happy. **** anyone else who judges her based on her weight. And no, I'm not a "yassss" fan. Don't even use that excuse to defend you judging someone elses weight. That's a low blow and not ever needed. Period. I'll just leave this here. If nothing else, shouldn't the fact that she has mentioned having eating disorders make people realize how insensitive it is to make comments like that? Sure, she seems happy and confident now, but ffs it's just wrong to say some of the stuff I've seen in this thread, especially considering it has apparently been a sensitive topic for her in the past. The most important thing is that, after having admittedly struggled with body image issues and eating disorders, she finally seems comfortable and happy with how she looks (which is by no sensible standard "fat" anyway, lbr). There was a interview where she had said it as well... Pretty sure it was from 2008. Regardless, the comment was obviously not meant to be taken literally... Who are you to think you can decide what is the best for another person? Gaga is doing what is best for her mentally and physically to survive a worldwide tour, where she is on the stage for two hours a night jumping, dancing, singing, and running. She is also traveling every other day, in a different place almost every night, away from her family and the man she loves, dealing with a hip held together with three metal screws, and who knows what other health issues. Grown ups take medicine, especially ones with health problems. Gaga could be on a low dose steroid to keep her one of her hips from falling apart again. She could be on a host of medicines for possibly the early symptoms of Lupus, of which joint inflammation is a big issue. She could be on birth control pills, since she is in a steady relationship and getting pregnant while on tour wouldn't really be good for her or a baby. She could be taking an anti-depressant. It was pretty obvious that she was experiencing Major Depressive Disorder back in the late winter to sometime in the new year. Most people with MDD need to be on an anti-depressant for a while, even after they start to get better. All of these medicines will cause a woman to gain weight and retain water more easily. Taking any of these medications only says that she IS trying to be the best that she can be...for herself and for her fans. Why can you not expect another person to be a certain size? Because you don't get to make that call! It's not your body. You only get to make that decision for yourself. Lastly, Gaga is a "decent size". Just because she doesn't meet your ridiculous standards and unrealistic expectations doesn't mean she isn't a healthy weight for her age, height and frame!
