And I thought it was self-explanatory enough but here let me break it down for you... I said Gaga's caused ripples in society. And that's amazing. But it's the part of society she's impacted. That's what's really important... Then when I said "who cares what people think" I wasn't of course talking about ALL people but the opinion of those who brush off Gaga without knowing her at all. And the thread is ORIGINALLY about how she succeded with the concepts of her album and how it has had an impact... I never mentioned the charts or pop culture... That was just pulled out of no where by chart obsessers... And I just said Gaga put in more effort with the art and pop combination. Not saying Jay's work was pointless or not good at all. I still don't see an impact in many places outside the fanbase. Your argument has diminished and lost focus as you went on. All you've pretty much said is "SHES BEEN IN THE LOUVRE THOUGH". What's wrong with impact on charts and pop culture anyway? Most people probably wouldn't know what ARTPOP is if you asked on the street. Today we had an excellent discussion about ARTPOP without the usual hate-it-for-no-reason posts. Better than most threads we get about ARTPOP, unfortunately But how about the impact on the world of art? She left a huge mark there. She got fans who are people whether you like it or not to start art and that is creating an artistic revolution.
