Lona Delery 7,214
Umm just because their fans doesn't mean they aren't people. And if people are impacted then people are impacted. You can say this about EVERYTHING on this world. Please stop acting like she's turning water into wine. eifulien 2,964
ARTPOP inspired me to put art on the front and to use paintbrushes to determine how I will paint my future with my creativity on the canvas Honey, an hour ago you were praising The Fame and bashing ARTPOP in another thread. Don't be a b*itchy hypocrite.
Tropico 4,145
You can say this about EVERYTHING on this world. Please stop acting like she's turning water into wine. She might at well be because she's turning haters into fans and "straight boys" to pride gays. And it seems like someone is selecting certain parts of my post just to belittile ARTPOP. Keep trying doe. ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢

Ladle Ghoulash 24,724
I hope that's not a joke because I agree The whole "I create my own fame" theme was amazing and I think it's the backbone of her career. That seriously changed my life. The Fame/The Fame Monster and seeing the Monster Ball Tour legit changed my life. We have forgotten our public MANNERS
Harry 26,836
Okay I keep seeing people say this and I just need to ask - where in the album ARTPOP does it encourage people to be artistic and creative? Yeah she sent out that message during the era, but it isn't in the songs at all. Maybe in ARTPOP (the song), MAYBE, but the rest? I don't hear it. Can someone help? Of course it had an impact on fans and that's amazing, but it didn't really have an impact on a wider audience - but that's totally okay, why do we keep telling ourselves she needs to have cultural pact with each album? TF, TFM and BTW were big movements in culture. But AP... Not so much. That's kinda delusional.
Tropico 4,145
ARTPOP had literaly no impact. Okay then just ignore my post about how it has inspired many people and continue to spread negativity. On your way out of my thread you can take your portrait by Robert Wilson and hang it up in the Louvre like everyone can these day-... Oh wait. :coffee: ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢

And it seems like someone is selecting certain parts of my post just to belittile ARTPOP. Keep trying doe. I cut your posts down because I reference to the certain part i quoted. And wrong. She turns unsure and afraid gay men into gay men who accept themselves. I don't belittle ARTPOP. I just don't praise Gaga like she's the second coming, thats all. I like ARTPOP, as i have already stated. Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Gaga inspired people through the era to express their artistic selves. Oh wait. :coffee: It has inspired some fans but the general public couldn't care less about this album. It's not about being negative, it's about being real. I love ARTPOP but it had no impact on pop culture whatsoever. Born This Way on the other hand...
Gagz 2,579
Which kinda proves that ARTPOP is equally capable of having an impact, doesn't it? I mean, if The Fame managed to do this why can't ARTPOP? Again, our sensitivity is different and we are influenced in different manners. Did you quote the right person? I didn't say ARTPOP wasn't impactful.
SlaeUrAnus 15,969
The Fame Monster inspired and influences me. ARTPOP on the otherhand, no. In my messy era.

Oh the fans who are so obsessed with the charts + what GP thinks of Gaga. And art isn't always about appealing to the masses. So by inspiring others (her fans and maybe people outside her fanbase even) she is starting an artistic revolution like I said I'm my post if you had taken the time to read it before getting ready to slam the album. And pop culture isn't the only thing in the world that matters and can be impacted you know? :lmao: The world of art is so much more interesting than checking out where PRISM is on the charts and if anyone has let the light in for example. :coffee: ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢

I know, but I still don't believe that was much if a focus/held that much importance during the campaign. Thematically, ARTPOP was not clear and had no real focus. And that is okay, she really is allowed to just put out a disc with songs on it, but she and certain fans keep trying to convince everyone that there was a grand plan for it. "It could mean anything" basically means nothing, sadly. 2. I know. I said it was good that it impacted fans. But in your OP you stated that both BTW and AP caused "ripples in society", and I don't think AP did at all.
