This.....and no.....just cuz many of her male fans may be gay doesn't mean they wanna smell like a chick :awkney: She already made an epic female fragrance for FAME....now give some props to your male fans :crossed:

Leather, lime, and water....with violet..... :emma:

You can't judge a fragrance from just the notes. In truth, most perfumes are composed of mainly synthetic molecules. The notes are only a guide for the nose. If there is any violet smell in Eau de Gaga, it is a synthetic one. Also, there are plenty of men's fragrances with violet as a note. Men's fragrances have been getting sweeter lately, for example Paco Rabanne 1 Million or Dior Homme. The latter even features a dominant Iris note, that smells like powder and lipstick, and yet it is one of the most popular mens fragrances out there. So I am pretty sure Eau de Gaga can be worn by men and women

Personally, I don't care wether a perfume is sold as feminine or masculine. That's just marketing, if you ask me.

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

I would think that being a fan of a gender bending queer artist like Lady Gaga who dons male drag for award shows, glues facial hair to her upper lip, and frequently jokes about having male genitals would remind you that the gender roles socioty made up are optional, no one is forcing you to smell like old spice and leather just because you are a man.

One of the few privileges all gay kids should have is the realization at some point in their life that everything they were taught about gender is totally bull****. Smelling like a beatuiful violet is no more an affront to your masculinity then taking a dick in your ass is.

Smell like violets and lime, Timmy. It's really ok.

That's your free minded opinion. If I walked in a mall and smelled roses and vanilla as people are walking by....I'm going to assume a woman just walked by....not a man. :usrs: I understand where you're coming from...I really do. Smells aren't only for one gender to smell or like. However, for the great majority of people we classify certain smells as feminine and masculine. It doesn't mean A guy doesn't like the way a woman smells or a woman doesn't like the way a man smells. Certain scents are what attract us to people. Guys like the smell of perfume, but don't want to wear it. You get what I'm saying.

If a man in the mall minces past you with a limp wrist he is no less of a man then the one who struts past you with his shoulderes back. If a man walks past you in the mall smelling like Chanel No. 5, he is no less of a man then the one who walks past you smelling like steak A.1 sauce and ***. Liberate yourself from what you have been taught about gender and you will be happier Tim, thats all I'm saying.

No but it does identify....it's not that serious...it's just a fact of how 99.99% of the world views scents. People identify scents with genders.

So cotton candy, considering it's sweet, is a feminine treat that women should enjoy?  I guess I just don't like to associate a smell, something that can be attached to anyone, with gender.  I'm put of the 0.01% I guess.

Food is not a fragrance we wear :smh:

Guys and girls enjoy candy :fail:

Let's be honest.....I may like a female fragrance but it's one thing to enjoy the way it smells and then wanting to wear it for people to smell it on me

"Ask the perfume what s-x it is. Who knows if an oak is male or female, or whether a rose is a he or a she? A watch is made for telling the time, isn’t it? It doesn’t matter whether it’s large or small, so long as you can read the face clearly so that you’re on time for a date! Are there CDs for men and CDs for women?! Absurd! Perfume is a product aimed at the senses not a particular gender." - Serge Lutens

If you aren't fimiliar with Serge Lutnens you should look him up, he is more qualified then anyone in this thread to speak about perfume. People only identify scents with a specific gender because they are told to do so by marketing teams. If you feel comfortable allowing a marketing campaign to think for you, then feel free to avoid products that are intened only for people with your set of genitals.

Then I enjoy being manipulated by marketing teams :ohwell:
