IAmTheX 0
I hope she means classic-rock-inspired pop and not classic rock itself. I mean, if she makes pop songs with classic rock touches and beautiful ballads the critics will be great but if she suddenly leaves pop they will say she's so pretentious and that she should stay on pop cause guys you know nowadays pop music is considered so below the other genres and same with popstars so... Omegahedron 190
cool, so she's following up what is potentially the dullest thing she's done in her career with something just as bad. If what she is doing is dull to you then you should find artists that interest you. She is not our slave to entertain.

AbuHassan1992 766
Pink Floyd are not classic rock. They are psychedelic rock, progressive rock. Brilliance from the late '60s and '70s. Power ballads are total '80s rock, which is when the power ballads were born and that's the kind of classic rock she seems to lean towards. Power ballads? Really, Gaga? Haven't you done enough of those? At least, get into some great alternative mix of rock, not classic rock. i'd say Money, Another Brick in the Wall and maybe i wish you were here are leaning towards classic rock. but really, can we even call classic rock a genre? It's actually not a genre, you're right It's a term radio invented to include (among others) hard rock, blues rock and arena rock.
Bye 3,947
1. Don't expect a rock album. It will 100% be pop. It might just have influences from classic rock. I can't believe some people are delusional enough to think she will release a classic rock album. 2. Who called TEOG a disaster needs to be slapped and shipped off to a remote island to spend the rest of their days in isolation. 3. This is the best thing she could do, this is her forte and will remain iconic not trashy EDM (no matter how good that may be).
Mike Monster 0
I'm picturing music that sounds like or close to Brooklyn Nights.

drbumblenut 48
I can 100% hear Gaga delivering Gaga-fied classic rock. It's not that much of a stretch to imagine her writing a song a lot like ZZ Top's "Gimme All Your Lovin": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae829mFAGGE It has a dance beat, killer hooks, heavily-layered / processed pop harmonies in the chorus, and rock vocals throughout. Even "Electric Chapel" sounds A LOT like "Sharp Dressed Man": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wRHBLwpASw She can do it and slay EDIT: Omg, the unintentional irony of posting a song called "Gimme All Your Lovin" Edited August 9, 2014 by drbumblenut
