Miel 15,009
I'm really excited! I was hoping she'd steer more into that right after Born This Way, but the fact that it's coming at all is great! Mary Jane Holland KILLS. The lyrics + megaton beat + filthy syncopation + sly delivery = instant classic OT, but Catherine was such a cool game. 3 points in and ready for more
Interludicrous 15
Ever since I became a fan I've been waiting for this I do hope there is still a big electronic influence though, but just... Rock
SinAgain 33
So here for 60 years of Gaga.
VasilisVas 5,164
I would stan harder for an album that would something along the lines of Madonna's Ray of Light which is a classic.
drbumblenut 48
I'm really excited! I was hoping she'd steer more into that right after Born This Way, but the fact that it's coming at all is great! OT, but Catherine was such a cool game. I LOVE that she made "Born This Way" when she did, because it's such an amazing record of a time when she still had some lingering... baby-fat? of optimism for the pop-rock industrial complex. Her exploration of those themes using that sound is something she can never go back to. She hit such lows pre-, during-, and post-"ARTPOP" that it will color her future work no matter what. Short version: I'm glad she left that sound because now she can go back to it. Aaand, OT: Oh yes. Did YOU happen to notice the central conflict that the game's masterful creators placed at its core? Stefani328 321
I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. I would love this so much. Bring it on Gaga. However, I hope it's true. We know how Twitter sources work.
rslayer 0
SO SO SO SO SO HERE FOR THIS. But just so y'all calm the shizzle down, she probably mentioned them as major influences. I think y'all are worried because of Cheek To Cheek's full on jazz, but that is because she is collaborating with a legendary jazz singer. She is pop. She'll do pop, even if it's (awesomely) infused with classic rock and power ballad influences.
Toph 375
Thank goodness, get the hell out of pop Gaga. (I love pop music, don't get me wrong..) She can always revisit it, but she deserves a change tbh. Her voice shines in jazz, and has a glorious rock tinge to her vocals. Like some other people mentioned, some of BTWs songs were very rock-heavy, and a few are personal faves.

Shadow 6,625
Can you imagine if she did something like this little number? http://youtu.be/lDK9QqIzhwk If she even came close to a song like that... I'd be thrilled... Do your own research.
No Angel 128
Eh, not a fan of rock really, but I'm positive she'd do it great, so It'll be just fine. There goes the hope for my soul/R&B album, though! Edited August 7, 2014 by No Angel

I agree. I would not mind at all if she went the electro-rock direction she went with Born This Way, if not more along the veins of classic rock. On Catherine, no because I mostly watched my friend's sister play it while at homework. Something something goats and awesome puzzles and infidelity? I am a shame to the knowledge of Catherine I am sorry lol i just want............a fleetwood mac rumours-era style album Imagine Gaga doing something similar to Songbird or Go Your Own Way 3 points in and ready for more
