A summary of the report on the CIA "torture" program is soon to be released. The White House never admitted that there was torture used, so this is actually a big move of Obama, even though he was forced by the release by the summary of course, otherwise he would look like a liar. Economy 53,144 Posted August 2, 2014 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Um we already knew this. lol as if we would be living in paradise if Romney or any other republican candidate would be in power.at least the economy woukd be stronger Obama finds every possible excuse to slow economic growth because the economy ALWAYS takes a back seat to other issues when it comes to Obama - Keystone would create thousands of high paying jobs for 3 years and permanent tax revenue - Obama Care resulted 25 higher business taxes which may not affect u directly but indirectly it does. Not to mention part-time job creation has been abnormal the last 1-2 years. Hum i wonder why? Could it he companies trying to avoid covering health insurance to full-time workers? - And how many energy permits within the US has he denied over "environmental" concerns? Its all politics cause Coal is much more harmful than oil for the environment but Obama hasnt done much about the growing Coal use in the US. Could it be because Coal gets less publicity and hed get less support from Environmentalists? This President is a joke. Even a lot of Democrats are fed up with him!!! But the whole earth knew the US tortured lots of people since 9/11 and war on Irak, what was guantanamo for? paintball parties ;) and by the many other countries were involved in such practice, so it's not just the US. Of course you don't know for sure they do, but there is a strong possibility they do. If that bomb goes off hundreds of people die. It is worse for hundreds of innocent people to die, than to torture someone innocent. Besides the ones who were tortured in the war were either guilty, had strong ties to terrorist organizations, or knew information even if they weren't guilty themselves. I strongly believe enhanced interrogations techniques are a beneficial thing to obtain information that would otherwise be impossible to obtain. They were turned in by other governments in Europe or Middle East just because they wanted to suck up to USA. Didn't Obama promise to close Guantanamo once he is elected? Hes definitely terrible Hes cares about his legacy and looking good and thats all he cares about... But when it comes to making tough and controversial decisions he wont make them! He always delays and wait till mid-term elections etc to not upset anyone before elections So stupid. President is all talk about change but hes no better than half the other presidents that there have been. Still prefer him to Bush tho, now he was terrible!
