JEWRJEWR 5,663
Really? 1st single: SMASH. 2nd single: HUGE FLOP. 3rd: promo single that became a real single and smashed. 4th single: cute song, did ok. 5th single: HUGE MASSIVE FLOP. I was writing a long answer to this but I changed my mind. Theres a big difference only with the album sales. thats all im going to say Fear, she's the mother of violence

MJHolland 12,725
It's a subpar generic pop song with a generic video by the most generic "artist" in the game It'll probably be #1 by monday

Houdini 103
This is SO FALSE, it sold like 1.1 million in the US which is Katy's biggest market and the only market that the song actually had any sales so it is maybe at 1.5 WW THE MOST... Still, Roar and DH were huge! 1 million in US and 1,1 in US for DWUW. The second single of ARTPOP (which is considered a hit for you all) sold almost the same amount of Katy's UNC (which is also considered by all of you as a massive Katy's flop) and charted at almost the same positions (#13 and #14). Levine 23,562
Radio updates so far? _ The infos in the OP are VERY interesting tho! Her power alone is NOT enough to sell a single now and the fact that the video did nothing for the song, speaks volume

Azor Ahai 18,861
Maybe it won't smash, but it will definitely do better than G.U.Y.

Tokyo Rose 1,475
Sorry but y'all look like lame nerds discussing a silly Katy Perry album like this. And you have the audacity to say "Hurrr derrr it's just like the BTW era hahahaha!" Excuse me, no. Born This Way was a huge pop culture moment that only happens once every several decades. Katy serves quick and dirty pop songs for radio, nothing more.

Yes, it is considered to be a flop considering the promo it got and Katy's singles usual chart performances. However with Gaga, there was no music video to support it and she was expected to flop.
