Alien Tulip 12,428
I just asked because you said you'd turn away from Gaga as a fan if she did something other than pop. I just don't want you to lose sight of Gaga's potential as an artist. That's all. I understand that but people should stop with this stereotype that electronic music is soulless when its not. Gaga can experiment with more music under the pop umbrella sort of like bjork and I'd be okay with that. Anything Goes is disappointing to me but I'm sure there are other songs on the album I will like (hopefully not counting on it).
Echo 327
I wouldn't mind honestly.
Stefani328 321
As long as it isn't rap.. xD That or country. I'd love any other genre.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I have trouble seeing her abandoning pop music completely. Even if she heavily invested into other genres, I think shes still a fan of pop formulas in music (conventional ones or not ). Regardless, I would still support her. I've come to love her as more than just a musician, though i hope she continues to make flawless music, w.e genre(s?), and I expect that she would. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
VasilisVas 5,201
I don't think I'll be a fan anymore. I became a fan through her music during the fame. Of course I want her to evolve musically but to completely abandon pop? Nahh I'll look for other artists.

There are ways to tamper with new sounds whilst still being pop notice how every gaga albums sounds different from each other. If Gaga ever turns away from pop music then I don't see the point of me being a fan if she's not doing music that will appeal to me.

So Gaga will still be performing under the umbrella of Pop music. I think you're more attracted to EDM and/or techno/electro/pop? There's also country/pop, rock/pop, rap/pop, etc. So I guess it depends on exactly what style you're more into.

Staryu 6,162
If the music's good, I don't see why I'd complain. Personally, I need some RockGa/MetalGa.
drinkmytears 2,332
You and I is country Jewels N' Drugs is rap like what's the problem with Jazz? Speechless is hardly pop either...a lot of her stuff is more dance than pop. I resent the term popstar and she isn't one of those.

jsn 1,648
It'd be kind of annoying for me b/c I don't fall in love with just any artist, I only have very few faves who make pop music But as long as the music sounded good it would be okay
Hellspont 1,468
She should go to another genre tbh Jazz or some kind of Rock would be fine with me
Arcane 208
I'd probably follow up on her less and lose more interest in pop music. I'm not as interested in my other faves to be stanning for them, I'd just be a casual listener . It was because of Gaga that I got back into pop and half of the pop artists in the first place. However, I'd give her jazz/muti-genre approach a chance, i mean she did amaze me with her Lush Life performance. It would just be very hard to adapt.
