PopReaper 2,231
I don't thing she does that herself, it's just that she mentions her gay fans so much (Which makes sense, since it's her main audience) that media and people interprete it as "All my fans are gay". But that happens to every pop female singer tbh Fun Fact: The K in KPop stands for "Kate Bush"

ctherainbow 3,162
Oh no, ya'll are feeling the isolation from one pop star that the gays have dealt with for decades in all aspects of our lives? *horrified gasp* But honestly, idk. My straight friends listen to Gaga and have never mentioned that she seems gay-centric. I know one or two gay guys who will clock someone as gay if they really like Gaga, but I don't personally do that. I just hope really hard. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby. Reno 79
I wouldn't say she isolates her straight fans, but i would agree that she focuses more on a her gay fanbase, i don't think she does that deliberately just to piss off her straight fans, i think it's because she's LGBT activist, and it's natural for every human being to concentrate more on what they care for, what they fight for... I think she realized that at some point during the BTWB and changed her speech to "It doesn't matter if you're gay or straight or..."
PopBitch 1,218
From what I know, Gaga certainly seems to have more gay (male) fans than straight (although this is not necessarily true). However, she has a lot of straight male fans who I think she makes feel isolated at times. Certainly in the Monster Ball and Born This Way Ball, all she talked about was 'celebrating your gay pride'. She's also said that her music is gay and unfortunately a lot of people assume that someone is gay if they are a Gaga fan. This is largely due to Gaga's persona, her gay rights activism and 'preaching'. I know that gay rights are extremely important and Gaga feels very strongly about this (as do I), but do you think that she isolates her straight fans? Discuss All young dance female pop stars have more gay male fans than straight. Straight males never predominantly follow female dance pop stars. They are the smallest margin in the fanbase a popstar could have. It's mostly teens who are female teens, gay or straight, and gay male teens,a nd the balance is female young adults, with a smaller minority of straight males and some older fans. As they get older, the buying power still comes from adult gays and straight females. Look at Kyle Minogue and Madonna.
MonsterRocket 55
No. It's just that her main 'quotes' are "be who you are", "fight for your rights"... and that applies more to gay kids. Straight ones do not need to fight for certain kind of rights .
Katie 68
No. The entire world is completely straight-inclusive. She obviously makes it a bigger point to include LGBT people just as much as everybody else, so it seems more gay than what is usual because the world is catered to straight people. ryhanna 3,507
Not Gaga, but maybe sometimes her fans. We all see jokes about how this forum is filled with gay guys and no straight guys, but there are straight fans. Even though they're only jokes, it can seem a bit isolating. GagaDragon 10
As a straight guy i'm going to say no! Why? because most straight guys are scared of liking her because they don't want to be seen as liking gay things. Not because they feel alienated or anything, she had plenty of heteros-xual male fans during the fame era but after she begun vocally advocating gay rights they all got scared lol though i can assure you some still secretly stan her. The fan base though, yes i do feel a lot of the gay fan base for some reason don't take the straight fans seriously. Like they'll be like "why are you listening to Gaga?????" "are you sure you're straight????". I know some of you may be simply joking around but it is admittedly unsettling. Imagine a straight guy telling a gay guy "why are you listening to Eminem????" "are you sure you're gay????"...see how annoying that is?
