ELECTRAHEARTPOP 93
Worked amazingly on COADF so why not? However, this is typically a trait associated with EDM and I think Gaga will be focusing on Adult Contemporary/Alternative/Rock next era and less on dance. If she stays with electionic music though, definitely I'd like to see something more conceptual like a continuous album. Thats what I was hoping for with ARTPOP The whole "night at the club" tea Yeah this. And also holophonic - not sure if that's the right word - where sound travels from left channel to the right channel of the composition or vice versa, like the leaked snippet of Applause. This is what I pictured when she lectured about having headphones every 10 seconds.
FRANK1991 3,329
yes yes yes that's a great idea it's like the entire album flows and has a story that's going even better when the last songs ends it leads back to the 1st song!!!! Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone

Dr Rogoe 23
lol @ everyone saying Madonna has invented merging songs together. This is a common thing to do in rock and metal music. But it only makes sense with a strong concept that glues the songs together. Ikr

But I'm here for either technique. I love it.
Koala 3
I always thought the first 3 songs on ARTPOP were kind of merged There's just a connection when Aura finishes and Venus starts, and then G.U.Y.
AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,734
no tbh.. I want each song to have a great ending. Marry The Night flows greatly into Born This Way, but as single and stand alone, it is a weird ending. Same thing with G.U.Y. into Sexxx Dreams.... kinda lame and doesn't make sense as a stand alone. Petrichor 4,640
Yes... if they do it right. Sometimes the segues can kill the mood of a certain track, but when they do it right, like on Madonna's 'Confessions of a Dance Floor' or my personal favorite (for a Dance/House album with one continuous flow of music), Kelis' 'Flesh Tone,' it sounds and works great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD91D-fFNRc
Feynman 1
Aka confessions Already done by Madge But if its well done, then sure.
TimisaMonster 31,073
It would definitely make an artist to make the songs much more cohesive  Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
capso 0
The album Mylo Xyloto by coldplay exhibits this I think it's really cool, especially when listening to the album for the first time. It would make singles hard, possibly, or at least for radio play. Or so I would think?
Miss Murder 11
American Idiot by Green Day is like this . And it's one of my favourite albums so would love this agreed
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
only if there is also a version with songs separated but tbh, I really don't care... I just want GOOD music, if it happens to be in the first place, then she can make such tricks with it
