Well it's a virus that needs super close contact to spread apparently, and has an extremely high fatality rate. What sucks is that symptoms of the virus sometimes don't show in somebody for even two weeks after they have been infected. It attacks almost all parts of someone's body and causes blood clots, and bleeding from all over the body. Google the pictures, it looks terrible. So yah, scary sh*t. You risk constracting HIV every time you have s-x. You risk tripping and breaking your ankle every time you walk. The risk of bringing the patient to America is very low. According to reports, both Brantly and Nancy Writebol, the American missionary who also contracted the disease in Liberia, were treated with an experimental serum. Yay!!! Hopefully they can make more to help the people in Africa! My dad told me the serum comes from mouse blood. Interesting... The patient arrived at the hospital’s emergency room early Monday morning with “a high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms,†according to a statement from the hospital. The patient has been isolated and is undergoing diagnostic testing. “All necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of all patients, visitors and staff,†the hospital said in a statement. “We will continue to work closely with federal, state and city health officials to address and monitor this case, keep the community informed and provide the best quality care to all of our patients."
