Um, why did he not get screened if he was coming back from West Africa? Why did they not check themselves beforehand? Ugh. More reasons to freak people out. There's nothing to fear.

Yay, there are many of them by now.

Apparently it can only really spread once he starts showing symptoms, so hopefully he came in quickly

Stop fear mongering. High fever and GI problems can be from anything. The sanitation here is miles better than in Africa, so things like ebola don't spread nearly as easily. This isn't as big of a concern as the people in this thread is making it out to be.

So they don't die. They don't have the ability to treat ebola correctly in Africa, that's why it's such a problem. Think of it this way: if it were you or a family member who had it, wouldn't you want them to have the best care possible?

I truly hope this is not Ebola. But the fact that the person traveled to West Africa and is presenting symptoms is scary....
