The only case in America right now is under medical supervision.

Yes cause I was talking about some africans jumping on a plane to america. Europe, it's close to Africa (you already knew that...I hope) it could easily get to Europe but then also spreas to America. I'm not saying it will but it still could happen.

Ebola infects through body fluids even something like sweat. It cannot be spread through the air.

I never said air.

hop on that **** like a maniac

Does it spread by simply touching other people's fluids like saliva or do they need to be in contact with your blood like HIV?

It can spread through contact with your blood like cuts or whatever but it's mainly through mucus membranes; eyes, mouth, and nose.

Any chance of the virus mutating and becoming airborne later on?  Or am I just thinking of that movie, Outbreak?  :cryga:

Well yeah everything starts somewhere :spin: but the thing is, symptoms can not show for weeks, which gives time for people to travel and have contact with many others. That means it can easily spread. So it is a big deal :spin:

Wash your hands and you'll be fine. Promise.

It's basically the same virus that was discovered in the 70s, apparently hasn't mutated much. There's always such a chance but it's probably minimal.

Some people are acting ridiculous about this. It's not like this guy is going to walk around the city infecting everyone. He's going to be in a very controlled environment. I don't think the CDC want's ebola to spread here. If that were you, you'd want to be treated here too.

Yep. Not to mention Ebola is pretty hard to spread.

Yes, but Ebola does not spread with just contact. You literally have to be bathing in someone else's body fluid to get it.  :spin: (Okay, more like having s-x with, making out with, and sharing needles with infected people)

If there really was any danger, they wouldn't be allowing them to come back.

Ebola's been out there for several decades and nothing has happened to Europe. Even if it spread, Europe still has better medical assistance than most places in Africa.

This is what I think people don't understand. Ebola is as bad as it is out there because they don't have the ability to treat it properly.

I remember listening to a story about Ebola, the way the victims die is pretty harsh to say the least, hopefully they contain it...

It's not contagious until it's symptomatic.

He's in a controlled environment. Nothing is going to spread

Unless the infected victim, who is currently on his way to a secure and quarantined location, gets up and spits in your mouth, I think you'll be fine.

All of this, thank you!
