No Angel 128
It wasn't only successful in the U.S. It achieved more success in the U.K and Canada. I remember tracking DWUW on U.K iTunes because it was in the Top 10 for soooooo many weeks  They didn't let it chart for its first 3 weeks because of the preorder though. And who could forget when the good sis DWUW scalpedT Applause's Canadian #4 peak with a Top 3 slot  I miss the Applause and DWUW eras because she actually had something to track on the charts. G.U.Y appeared NO WHERE Did G.U.Y. go top 10 (hell, 20) on any charts?

MJHolland 12,725
It peaked at #13 and spent multiple weeks in the Top 20 on Billboard. It just needed that little push. When a song is bouncing around from #12-#18 on iTunes for WEEKS you know it's being shown interest and needs that 1 thing to push it to its true potential. It was #13. ;) My point was that DWUW was in fact farrrr from being a "flop"

VISION 52
Venus flops, but the era keeps going without any blackouts, and Gaga gets a big hit with DWUW that has a music video

disneyhigh 43
Nobody outside of the fanbase even likes anything but the chorus. The verses and the bridge are considered embarrassing by anybody who isn't already a stan. ???? ok, if you say so
MJHolland 12,725
obviously i dont think DWUW flopped and i wouldnt care if it did im just joking about this thread ok omg you are all such cry babies Right... I'm sure it was a "joke"... But for future reference, it's only a "joke" if other people know it's a joke. Oh, and it also has to be funny.... :dead:
disneyhigh 43
and DWUW was on the radio all time here in L.A. so let's not
Mills 446
No way it would've peaked at #7 on Pop Radio like DWUW. Or sold 1,300,000 in the U.S like DWUW Or spent multiple weeks in the Top 10 on multiple countries' charts (U.K, France, Spain, Canada) Nor would it have peaked higher than Applause in Canada like DWUW did (#3) Agreed. And there's also the possibility, if ever it was released as the second single, to have a peak on the HOT 100 lower than 13, considering its release was in between two promo singles which could easily overshadow it. Overall, Venus was just shown less interest. Even when DWUW was JUST a promo single, it sold more in its first week. EVEN when Venus had more preorders to back it up. Tragic if you ask me.
