Spock 20,290
It was on the top 10 for 14 consecutive weeks which is more than 3 months. Oh, yes I know and thought that was impressive But we, at least I was, talking about still hearing about it today on radio or TV who will love me when the night is over
MonsterOfSpain 8,318
Oh, yes I know and thought that was impressive But we, at least I was, talking about still hearing about it today on radio or TV Ok I still hear it on the radio in Spain but whatever you say! And I haven't hear DIL once, maybe because it only was successful in the US.
Spock 20,290
I mean I love Beyoncé but I hate that he's trying to discredit Gaga to defend her. I'm not discrediting anything. I love Gaga. He was making ignorant statements about Beyonce so I compared her era to Gaga's. That's all Ok I still hear it on the radio in Spain but whatever you say! And I haven't hear DIL once, maybe because it only was successful in the US. I still hear it too but I get the impression that Beyonce's songs are more present. The argument started with all of her songs, not DIL who will love me when the night is over

That's all Gaga's era was more successful singles-wise and Beyoncé's album was more succesful, I think we can agree on that.

That's all I did no though. I gave major facts about why imo the Era was half as successful as many made it seem. You are the one that couldn;t handle the truth. You are the one that couldn;t handle the truth. Oh I can handle the truth and I know about the single sales. You were making hater comments and I called you out that's all. The album wasn't meant to have any singles at all so I don't care. And I don't agree about about the half as successful era comment because they are simply not true. But I can't argue to that here because people will say that I'm discrediting Gaga or something when that's not true. So whatever. You have your opinion, I have mine. who will love me when the night is over

Yep, but that is because Beyonce wasn't meant to have singles, the whole album represented the body of work. In my opinion, DIL (and Partition in some way) are an exception, not because of charts or numbers, but because of the impact they had. I think Gaga's singles performed well and reflected her position in the music world this era. who will love me when the night is over

I didn't even express hate for Beyonce or anything. I said that the Era was not what the media made it seem and this was also reflected once again now with the VMAs. It's only the way I see it and it has nothing to do with Gaga.
Alijandro 9
She didn't hype anything and never made a comment sis. By that time, the album was delayed until further notice and no singles got released in the supposed time frame. Look it up before shading Umm, maybe try taking things less seriously lol, it was just a joke and exaggeration All I was saying is that gaga is unlikely to release a surprise album via her tendencies to love talking about her music WAAYYY in advance which unessasarily hypes fans. I wasn't solely referring to ARTPOP, but she did in fact start hyping ARTPOP around a year before it would have come out pre-delay, so as you said 'look it up' :reductive:

Well, you made flaimbait comments, you could have phrased it the way you did here. And you were comparing her era to Gaga's. And I respect that, the point of a forum is to share different points of view. Ours are just different Umm, maybe try taking things less seriously lol, it was just a joke and exaggeration All I was saying is that gaga is unlikely to release a surprise album via her tendencies to love talking about her music WAAYYY in advance which unessasarily hypes fans. I just saw a bunch of people shading her and was like hell no. who will love me when the night is over

Spock 20,290
I wasn't even the one that started the comparison comments though. Well, you were comparing in the replies you made to me. But really though, I don't want to keep arguing let's move on, no hard feelings who will love me when the night is over
Kayla 7,595
^ And that, my friends, is how you handle an online debate. Explain your side with reasons backing up why you feel the way you do, and end it with no hard feelings. I've got warm fuzzies in my heart right now. LittleBoot 27
I think that would be awesome. I actually think the hype and anticipation can hurt an album. Just drop it like a bomb and let it speak for itself.
