Just checking we don't have "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" or any of the other Target bonus tracks, correct?

Some of the songs are all over the place, the upbeat ones are giving me a headache. Maybe it has something to the with the fact I just got up. :smh: I love But Beautiful and Cheeck to Cheeck so far. Lush Life is amazing but does sound kinda demo-ish but slay anyway.

EDIT : Bang Bang slays!

I mean Jazz is definitely less structured or as formulaic as modern/pop music tends to be now: verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus. And a lot of the time Jazz can be improvised in some aspects, and I believe that's the way parts of album were recorded.

Okay obviously "Lush Life" is amazing, but "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" hits me so hard. I was just listening to it and started to cry a little and smiling at the same time. Her vocals are just so spot on and haunting/beautiful in that one. Don't ever leave, Jazzga. <3

DanceInTheFlames is correct and you can add in where'as most pop music is in 4/4 time jazz uses odd time signatures. It's not all 4 on  the floor bass drum beats like Gaga's Dance music or 2 and 4 on a snare

Jazz also uses different chord structures which is very evident in Lush Life where they are quite dark and ominous.

Add in the intertwined instruments when the Big Band is swinging and it can seem "all over the place" when infact it is tightly arranged apart from the solos which are often improvised live. Remember this whole album was recorded live with the band and singers on one room.

If you are not used to listening to Jazz your ears will soon tune into it and you seem to be enjoying it already
