ARTPOP Fanmade Music Video - WATCH NOW!

I didn't mean to confuse anyone (that's why I put it in Thoughts), and if I put "fanmade" in the title, no one would watch it, since "fanmade" nowadays is such a derogatory term where people think it's just fans putting stolen clips together to make a video...

But IT IS fan made :lmao: Lying to get views is not good.

That was REALLY good, I enjoyed it a lot.
May I ask what camera you used to shoot this?

Congratulations! The video looks really beautiful, there's a lot of amazing shots! I love the magician scene and the beach scene is stunning!

Maybe this video is about you  :)

The ballet dancer/painter could be you in the creative process, struggling to make your art and using the art as a way to express this struggle. The magician and Marat could be the hope inside you that keeps you going or someone that you really love and inspires you. And the people wearing burqas could be your insecurities.

Here's 2 good interpretations sent to me :)

"For me the video revolved around a kind of twisted nihilism. For me it shows an increasing sense of non-personality throughout, starting with the emotional transition from mundane boy to disciplined dancer, someone in training for an artistic goal that only becomes clear at the end: to let love fill the individual, which means a stepping away from the individual of the past and the entering of a new mode of being in which endless transformations are possible. The contrast between the tight, minimalistic ballet look and the flowy, colourful dresses is very interesting for me and I can interpret it in different ways. Colour and visual richness do not refer to happiness, in fact they refer to bondage. This is broken through discipline, love and an inner transformation."

"during the half a minute or so it was a little confusing because although the imagery wasn't really abstract it was hard to understand (why he was dancing and why he kept falling over, what the canvas was for)

and then it started to get quite abstract with the faceless person cutting the non existent hair, but the way i interpreted this first scene (i have no idea if this is what it actually means) is that people will do anything to keep control over you and put you down and sometimes ones creativity/artistic freedom is repressed because people who dont understand it or dont like it try to take it away from you

i feel like you utilised symbolism and imagery really well during this first minute, with the sitting pose as if hes meditating, the black and white colour scheme creating this feeling that again this person's creativity is being killed and the blank canvas kind of being like a symbol for renewal or starting over

then the next scene kind of affirms the reason for the canvas - i interpreted it as he is living through his art and his suffering for the death of his art is mimicked by the canvas because they are connected (crying, vomiting)

i think it was interesting to have all the "villainous" type characters as faceless because it kind of shows that they have no personality and are more like mindless vessels

i liked the nice little nod to applause and the death of marat and i thought it helped with understanding the video, and i liked how as soon as he started like believing in his art and standing up for what he believes in (which is when i understood why he kept falling at the start when he was dancing) and that "maybe love can save [him]", the colour started to appear

i think i understood the connection between the women in burqas and freedom but idk if it was necessary because although obviously the women in the gold burqa was going to cut herself so the "maybe love can save me from myself" was completely relevant, if it was an actual gaga video it would cause controversy because its kind of a stereotype that all women who wear burqa/hijab/etc are being controlled by men (although it is the case for many of them)

i did think it was cool and very like M.I.A. to have them in jewels and leopard skins and heels though cause it relates to the concept (or at least my interpretation of it)

my favourite part was from 3:40 to the end i just thought everything was just aesthetically really beautiful and the person taking off the mask to reveal the word "ANYTHING", i kind of interpreted as like literally ARTPOP can mean anything lol even if its the evil looking faceless men"

I'm an English nerd so I love stimulating people and reading these make me so excited :D

I just left a comment under the video. Wow! This is ARTPOP - inspiring others to create their own art. STELLAR work!

Also, which thumbnail would you most likely click on? :)

The first 2 are art, the third one is more pop if you know what I mean. I'd choose the third one, it would attract more people to watch the video.
