If you're gonna call out Katy for her videos, at least give good arguments So you consider 1 irrelevant item of her MV and saying that therefore, her whole video sucks Many could imply that, going by your logic, because Gaga put 2 seconds of Minecraft in G.U.Y., the whole video sucks when really it's a masterpiece even considering those 2 little seconds A damn mess You mean singing talent? Because videos don't take vocal talent in consideration I mean if you want me to list out every reason that the video is horrid were gonna be here for awhile. If they were gonna nominate a Katy Video they should have gone with the visually stunning Unconditionally, but instead they went with Dark Horse. The commercial success and back up plan that she didn't even want originally. Now im not saying that its ot an OK video, but compared to some of the other ones released this year it fails. But DH is just one example of them nominating something because of its commercial value. It was just because she was insanely famous and could draw ratings. The VMAs have always been about hits and success, never for actual videos. It was just that Gaga was successful as well as was making epic videos. She was a perfect combination of Art and Pop. Her recent videos are divine but she isn't the 'It Girl' anymore. But I have profound love and respect for her - not because she's been successful, but because her creations connect so well to my mind and she is the best and most talented entertainer for me. :applause: Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's a high school lunch room and the VMA's is the mean girl table. I hope we see some upsets and the more clever videos like the Childish Gambino teddy bear video wins. That's the reality here. The VMAs are a popularity contest. And with Gaga not on top at the moment, it should've been pretty clear that she wasn't going to be nominated.
