SlaeUrAnus 15,902
Red One is the only way Gaga can return to her throne. Her current producers seriously suck. In my messy era.

Rollercoaster 2
What Gaga should do is find some relatively unknown talent and make some fabulous music with them. But unknown usually means they're not popular... I think it's a risk she can only really afford to take when she's at the top of the industry. Otherwise she risks her star falling further and before we know it, she's a distant memory.

She doesn't need to coast on another musician's success, she needs to make good music. With unknown producers/songwriters etc she doesn't have the pressure of living up to their previous hits. They're a clean slate and she can shape them how she wants. stream bionic
Rollercoaster 2
She doesn't need to coast on another musician's success, she needs to make good music. With unknown producers/songwriters etc she doesn't have the pressure of living up to their previous hits. They're a clean slate and she can shape them how she wants. I understand that, but on the level she's on, with the benchmark she set for herself, she should prioritize working with the best and most skilled in the business rather than working with unknowns simply to keep some hipster attitude towards commercial producers. It is bizarre to me that she hasn't worked with any co-writers. She cannot be arrogant enough to believe that she herself has the best writing skill to portray her ideas and themes. Sometimes you work better with someone to bounce off. You can create better art that way. Ask Lennon/McCartney, Rogers/Hammerstein, Jimmy Page/Robert Plant, Elton John & Bernie Taupin, Simon & Garfunkel... and countless others. She really, in my opinion, needs to expand her mind to accept that sometimes, you need the input of someone else in order to uncover what you really want to say. I think she's at the stage now that Madonna was at before Ray Of Light. It's sink or swim, really. She can either coast along on the same level as Miley Cyrus, never really impacting social culture ever again, or she can rise like a phoenix and take back her former glory. There's only a point to art if someone's listening/looking. If she's being blanked like she currently is... well.. she might as well just not make any more albums. I think a slight change in style would work for her, too. People are here for her hardest hitting ballads. Not self-indulgence like Dope, but heartfelt tragic cry-worthy lyricism like The Edge of Glory and Speechless. Not to say she should move away from dance pop - I just think EDM is too empty and soul-less for her. Art must have a soul, and EDM is heartless. This is another reason why she needs a better set of collaborators. Red One, etc would be able to work with her to guide her to the best outcome... where as newcomers like Madeon and Zedd are more likely to be dictated to and told what to do, so really won't get to have their impact on the music at all, so it'll come off messy (Hello Aura production problems). Maybe she should try a new sound altogether? No more DJWS pelase. DJWS makes me want to pop a balloon, but his bass on some songs is so dirty it makes me a bit wet. Government hooker, Swine & DWUW have great elements, but he should only ever co-produce under a more competent producer. I wasn't really talking about commercial popularity. Rick Rubin, for example.. he's had his fair share of singles flop, and isn't a name many could pluck out of the air as a legendary producer - but he's tried and tested and known as the best in the business. That's why she worked with him and she could stand to do that more often. I mean, she doesn't record her vocals on a 1980's cassette recorder (save for most of BTW's vocals).. so why use a producer that's premature? I don't know who Madonna worked with for ROL, probably William Orbit for everything, but it was a different direction from the music she'd made previously. It was more crisp, well planned out, the videos were on point... just Frozen alone should stand as an inspiration for anyone putting together an album. TBH. RedOne's music is way too bubblegummy sometimes and I'd rather not. :millie: And Little Managers is for people who think they know how to run a pop career mean while the only thing they are informed about is which Gaga single was successful and which wasn't. ClapDown 0
I need her to work with William Orbit  They will create flawless tracks Almost 20 years after Madonna created her greatest album with him and when he's now working with Britney? I can't imagine how bad the comparisons the media would make would be, regardless of how good the album is.
DeleteMyAccount 11,881
This may be somewhat of a random thought, but I feel as if Gaga should look to her live performances and create music from that perspective. Especially her acoustic versions. Because those seems to be better versions than on the album. I guess what I'm saying is less EDM and more vocals. I don't care for a reboot of past albums, but I think she should make some more simplistic music. Whatever that may sound like.
