djBuffoon 12,120
Well she wanted to release Aura as lead and Interscope didn't let her. She wanted to have cool VMA performance but MTV didn't let her. Her management has screwed the single releases. I see huge creative control. And becoming more commercially popular would help this? I'm not interested. Adakam 2
Is it just a phase all artists have to go through no matter what? Is it because she no longer has the team she had in previous eras (RedOne, Nicola... etc!) Is it because of her image and music? Even though her image and music during the ARTPOP era are "lighter" and "easier" than it was during the dark TFM and BTW eras, for example, and yet TFM is probably her biggest era. Is it because she's not the "it girl" anymore and that every she does is no longer shocking people as they already have in mind that Gaga would still try to shock, so it's kinda expected? Is it because of business matters like promo, management... etc!? But she's Gaga. Not sure what went wrong if you are at the top, the only way you can go is down, is a natural cycle, ask madonna or mj and too much lgbt the previous era tbh
Shaney 5,515
No one can keep such a huge image going. Especially when it was as big as Gaga's. and the main problem this era was management. how have people not realized this yet.
The Professor 1,060
She became out of touch with reality. She's having a great time being Lady Gaga (see 'Cake like Gaga') and she's lost the attention and grit she used to have. Old Gaga could spot trends years in advance, today Gaga may/may not see them or if she does she doesn't care
clefable 296
i think ARTPOP was never destined for the same kind of success as her previous albums she was on top of the world back then, its probably just a small bump in her career and i say small because this fanbase likes over exaggerate how bad this era was. mic 1,415
And becoming more commercially popular would help this? I'm not interested. I think so because she could make something in between.

VasilisVas 5,170
Because ARTPOP has been a huge disappointment, and did not live up anywhere near to the hype that was created.
Hexxx 2,244
I haven't seen a crazy outfit in such a long time. I think it has something to do with her team or either she just doesn't feel like taking over the world yet Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
IAmTheX 0
She's too gay, too polemic (Judas for example), she saturated too much, she released her music in a really bad moment (really? At the same time as Katy?), her sound is still really away from the radio-friendly sounds and the singles choices and promotion have been such a mess since The Edge Of Glory, so it was obvious it was gonna explode. Moreover, her scandals are not as surprising as seeing Hannah Montana naked
Sakrai 4,759
Haven't we talked about this already I haven't seen a crazy outfit in such a long time. I think it has something to do with her team or either she just doesn't feel like taking over the world yet She's toned down, but i don't think that's gonna do her much good. When artists first come out and explode in the media, there are no ideas associated to them. They are nothing, just a cool new artist. But soon enough people start to know you, the media start to interview you and several concepts start being attached to you. Like 'Gay', 'outrageous', or 'extravagant'. These concepts work as a way to define your niche, and then, when you have such a strong charge of concepts (like Gaga), people feel either less or more connected to the artist. Associating Gaga to Gays, etc is something that happened AFTER her explosion in the media, so naturally now straight guys feel less comfortable with her, which didn't happen before they associated her with those concepts. This is why Gaga is not as appealing as she used to be, and this is the destiny of every single celebrity. /thread :MANiCURE: Oh, I'm just visiting-
RebeldeFaith 5,482
Let me explain it: she released a video for TEOG but not the DWYW video. No, but really, I think she always repeated the "people is not ready for what's coming" thing but I really think she's the one that wasn't ready. People was enough ready for another era, they just were waiting a much heavier era. Not necessarily "dark" but shocking. When the expectations weren't fulfilled people started leaving. They saw her as another artist. She's not over yet but she will have to think her next moves cautiously. P.S. I really doubt a jazz album will help. Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza? Trough ARTPOP era she spit on her past achievements, wanting to be every icon, the ultimate diva. It was an ambition which is good but she just took it too far to remain... interesting. JudasIsAHolyFoo 3,278
actually the ARTPOP piano book states that she has worked with RedOne for gypsy Monster Ball 2010, Monster Ball 2011, Born This Way Ball 2013, artRAVE 2014, Joanne World Tour 2017 (Both Nights in Toronto)
